Anyone going to Sierra College (Rocklin, CA) this fall? I'm an alternate!

Published

I just got my letter yesterday and am so excited! :yeah: I'm not necessarily in, but being an alternate is better than just being told to apply next year so I feel pretty lucky. They selected 10 alternates and I'm right in the middle, so we will see if it works out this fall. If not, I will be in the next class (they did away with the spring class, so I'll have to wait a year). This was my first time applying so I feel fortunate.

Anyone else selected for Fall 2010 at Sierra?

Congrats to you! :yeah:Sierra is hard to get into.

I applied for this Fall but I doubt I got in especially since you already got a letter. They always let the people who got in or alternates know before people who didn't get in. I await my rejection letter...

Well, after 2 years of applying to 4 different schools each semester, I got my letter of congratulations a little over a week ago. I am so excited! I have only attended LosRios, so Sierra will be a new school for me. It seemed like such a long hard wait, Ilm still in a bit of shock! LOL

So, you said Sierra did away with spinrg selections altogether? I knew that they did last spring, but I didn"t know it was a permanent change.

Good luck to you!

Congrats Lisa! I think you will really like Sierra's nursing dept. The staff are all very nice and the location at Gateway is great (easy parking!). The labs are set up nicely too. I took a CNA class from them last semester and was very impressed. I think they have the hightest NCLEX pass rate of all the programs in our area. I think it will have been worth the wait for you. Have you taken the TEAS before? I have only done a practice one online and scored well enough, but I"m a little nervous to take the real exam. See you at orientation!

Thanks! Congrats to you too!

I took the TEAS a year and a half ago when I applied for Sutter. It was pretty easy, but the science threw me for a loop. I don't know anything about tectonic plates and earth science stuff. I will be studying the TEAS workbook for the next 2 weeks!

I did get in to the LVN to RN bridge program this fall! It's been a long time coming! Hope to see you there-GOOD LUCK!!

Congratulations!! I, like you have been waiting for this for a long time and am still in SHOCK! There are times when I thought this would never happen. Are you studying for the TEAS? if so, what study guide are you using?

I also am STILL waiting to get a letter from Sierra. You are all so lucky who got in. I'm pretty sure I didn't get in, since I still haven't received notification yet. But there's always a chance I guess.... Good luck to everyone who did get in, Sierra has a wonderful nursing program!
