I am finishing up my pre-req's and would love to see if anyone is in the same boat as I am or even in nursing school. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Dang it ladies!!! 18 pages of posts last night, now we are up to 26!?!?!?!?! Cripes!
Anyway, did receive my LPN acceptance letter today for Day-Brooksville. I have a 3.4 with 88.2%. Not putting a lot of stock in an RN acceptance, but, still gonna wait and see what the mail from beginning of next week holds. Says we need to return our acceptance or decline by EOB July 6th.
:) Many congrats to all who got in and steady hands and heartbeats for all who are still stalking the mailman!
SOOOOOOOOO, Brass Tap tomorrow night, anyone???
Congrats to everyone! I am still holding my breath for the RN based on others scores, I guess it should be in the mail tomorrow.
I have to say I am very satisfied with the LPN program, in fact Dh and I will have to talk if I get into the RN program also about which program to accept. I know that seems crazy but the 1year program seems much more attainable at this point; My daughter enters high school this year, my husband is Active duty Air Force and my Mother who lives with us has ALS. Her Health is fairly stable right now but I am not sure how she will hold up for 2yrs and how that would impact my school.
YES! Brass Tap :) Stay positive all of those who haven't received their letters yet!
I'm so excited to meet everyone! What's even more interesting, is seeing who all of these people are behind ambiguous user names :)
I'm so proud of all of us....this program is very competitive, and we should all feel accomplished for what we have attained thus far!
Some info about the letters for those of you that have or have not gotten letters.
I am afraid this may dash some people's hopes, but i think waiting is probably worse...
Multiple acceptances appear to be coming in the same envelope. This is how mine and another person's were. It will tell you in one letter that you were accepted to multiple programs and must choose.
Good luck everyone.
Edit: alternates may still be possible!
It's unlikely they go straight off your composite. In past years more weight has been given to the reading section for example. It's anybody's guess as to how they've done it this year, so if you see someone with a lower composite that made it in, it could be they got higher where it mattered.
In summary, there is little chance that compiling a list of teas scores will accurately show the cut-offs.
