I know they said they the next step (interview) won't be till November, but I was wondering, has anyone gotten any response from them so far? Any email besides the acknowledgment after sending your application?

Also, for those who have recently gone through the process, what are your tips to GET THE JOB? .. or what were some of the questions asked during the interview?

I havent sadly.. and Im pretty surprised, i used to work for sharp, and have a pretty competative application (or so I thought)... a few of my classmates have been contacted and had interviews already.. I know Mary Birch has called people for sure, and Memorial.. not sure about grossmont, or chula vista..

Really? Now I'm worried... I applied to Sharp Chula Vista and Coronado. I've heard that Sharp Coronado will only take in about 3 for the new grad program; not sure how accurate that is, though.

im still holding on to the hope that chula vista hasnt called people yet.. i know its a longshot.. but i applied to chula vista also and i havent gotten a call, so we can still cross our fingers.. as far as i know, the people in my class that have had interviews have only been for mary birch and memorial, there may still be hope!

Me and my friend got a call for interview on Sharp CV next week, we both applied for MS and Telemetry. Anybody who can tell me what questions to expect? Thanks:wink2:

ohmy... really?? so soon? i thought they were making calls by Nov 13th and not earlier =[ i'm happy for you though kababayan. i applied for Sharp CV too on the same units and hopefully there's still a chance for the rest of us who hasn't been called for interviews yet ='c

I am trying to get an idea of what they are looking for....

Do you and your friend have..... BSN's, how many clinical hours did you have, did you have extern/internships?, what do you think set you apart on paper to get an interview.....did you know someone!

Thanks so much. Not trying to be nosey. I am just frustrated and trying to understand what all these recruiters want!

Well I can tell you I graduate with my BSN in December, I have had almost straight A's in NS, Im a member of the STT Honors Society, been on the deans list multiple semesters, I have had a preceptorship AND externship yet I still did not get a call.. so dont feel too bad. I dont understand what else they want either.. its so dang frustrating.

Sounds like you are a very good candidate. Maybe it is just because you have not graduated and taken the NLCEX.

Just Curious...why are you applying already? Are all your classmates doing that? Are you going to be able to get your NCLEX taken in time if you were to get a call.

Yes, pretty much everyone in my class of 120 have applied.. and a few of them did get calls.. the program probably wouldnt start until late jan. and we are eligible to take nclex mid jan... so with a IP, you can begin working right after you take nclex.. it could be a possibility why there was no call.. it would be much easier to higher someone who has already passed nclex.

so it's true. some has already been notified for an interview. how many of your friends has been called? it's frustrating, but at the same time, i'm happy for the others who had been chosen. i've also been at awe with your qualifications, acosmo. and you're correct. although many of us have remarkable qualifications, like already passing nclex with ACLS certificates maybe even PALS, maybe they just have this system that they follow. even i, has been a deans lister when i was on my first year and i even put that in.

and i hope this would be alright to say, but the above poster has applied for the earlier 09 grad program and she must've have already been on the waiting list. it is only correct that they prioritize them since they had their turn of wait in line. but i hope there's still hope to the rest of us without calls.

ya, im just trying not to dwell on it I guess, .. we will get jobs eventually :up: I know there is tough competition out there as far as applicants go, even if I think my app is good, I know there are PLENTY more out there that have far more qualifications..

I would say I know personally of like 3-4 people who have gotten calls in my class, however obviously Im not friends with everybody so Im sure many more did as well, you know?
