Hi! Just wondering is anyone going to CACC? I am taking my pre reqs there now hoping to get into the nursing program this fall. I took my ENG 101 two years ago and quit without withdrawing and I am taking that over and goin to ask for course forgiveness and 3 more pre reqs will they see the grades from this semester in enough time to decide that I can get into the nursing program for this fall? I am trying to get into the LPN program. If anyone has any advice for me please feel free. Thanks, Niki

thanks....I know it is gonna be hard work...but I am soooo ready for it....I have been preparing for this for over two years:)

Hi,

I see you attend(ed) CACC, I was looking into their program. I see they offer delayed LPN and RN curriculum, are those evening classes? Or do they only offer day classes for both the regular and delayed curriculum? I've called the Cacc office but am still waiting for a reply.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Please think long and hard about the LPN program. It is getting harder and harder to find a job as an LPN, as most hospitals only hire RNs these days. If you look at the jobsites for different hospitals, they almost all are posting openings for RNs. You might can get a job in a LTF as an LPN, but your options are a whole lot better for RN.

I'm glad to hear your interested. I've only just been accepted into the program, so I don't know much about it yet, and I know nothing about the delayed program. However, I have been attending CACC for about two years now, taking the classes I needed while awaiting acceptance.

I don't know if you've gotten a reply from CACC yet, but they rarely call people back. Sometimes you just have to keep calling until someone answers. If you're still interested and within driving distance of the school, I would suggest making a visit and talking to someone in person. The ladies in the nursing building can be very helpful when you can get in touch with them.

Good luck! It's competitive and takes a lot of hard work, but will definitely be worth it in the long-run.
