Just looking for some insight on LMU Nursing Program thru Blount County? I will be starting in August, excited and scared. I originally thought I was applying for Jan. 09, but I got in for Aug. 08!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any comments will be welcomed

If you are at the Blount County site and start nursing 115 in the spring you ae on the fast track program. you go spring, summer, fall, spring. If you start in the fall you don't have summer classes and graduate later.

I am supposed to start in August- however my boss is being very difficult and not allowing me flexibility while going to school. I made it this far and am really upset- I wish i could tell her to kiss ,, ,,,:banghead:- but I do have to pay the bills- so I am looking into the RODP program and see if I can get into that for Jan. 09 before I make a decision__ I feel better now that i said that.

The deaadline to apply for Roane States Nursing program is the 3rd friday in January of the previous year. If you are wanting to start in jan 09 the deadline was this past jan. It sucks that they have deadlines.

yeah that sucks. I wish i could quit my job- and continue on with LMU- but the bills are still due. I am hoping maybe RODP will go thru Tenn Tech

I asked that same question to Conrad, and he said no. I will be going to St. Mary's too though!

That is terrible that your boss is being so mean! Make sure you look at all your options before not starting. You could get a different job, let go of some of the things like cable, that are not needed- and you can always take out student loans.

Actually the online program is different. RSCC's deadline is September 1st for the spring semester. I called multiple people to confirm it and they said that it is different from the regular program and they will offer the online program starting in the spring.

I'm applying for it as well.

I did get an email for the Dean of Nursing and they are accepting applications, however it is Competitive process-- so here we go again!

I just found out yesterday that i will be starting the nursing program at LMU this fall rather than in the spring so I am way behind!! I will be going to the Blount County site and we register on Monday. Can anyone tell me what information they have about registration/orientation, any books we have to read prior to class starting, etc. They just let me know on the phone on Friday and i know I have barely two weeks to get everything done, purchased, and be prepped for classes. I would apprectiate it if someone can share the information from the acceptance packet.

It's very stressful right now. We just took the second cardiac test Monday. How did your site do?
