Anyone in or finished the pre-licensure online BSN program?

Nursing Students Western Governors

I have been looking for reviews on the BSN program, but so far most of the reviews are on the ADN-BSN programs. I would like to hear from students that either are in the pre-licensure BSN program or finished the program.

-Pro's and cons of your opinion

-How long will or did it take you to finish?

-Do you work or did you work while in the program? And how many hours a week?

-And add anything else you would want to share with me, please :)

If anyone particular is from southern california in the program, how did the clinicals work? Did they find you a hosptial and a mentor or do you find your own?

Does anyone know if they give Lvn credits for the BSN licensure program? I am wondering how it works. Any info would be helpful. And do they still offer the Lvn to RN program?

No credits for LVN and no LVN to BSN program. If you have your LVN, I suggest either finding an LVN to RN or LVN to BSN then if you wish to continue, going on to for the higher level education such as RN to BSN or BSN to MSN.

anyone attending prelicensure nursing program at ? If so, is it difficult to get in? What are the chances you can get in the program when you apply?

I've applied and they are reviewing my transcripts now. J am Aldo a LVN with s bachelor's in psych so I am hoping I can waive a lot of classes.

Hello, Since the sport was so long ago, did you end up graduating the ban online program?

I am also in Texas and not too sure how an online BSN works.

Is everything online except for when you get to your clinical?

Were you able to choose to not do night shift clinicals if you have children at home?

Pretty confused as to how this works! Thanks.

Are you able to request if you can't work weekends or nights?

The coursework is all online and you work at your own pace with the classes. The clinicals are set up with your prcotor. I am not sure about the schedule yet but I think they give it to you well in advance.

Hi do you know the length of the program? The website says two years, but I think I read a post that stated 2.5 years. Thank you!

Email [email protected] who is an admissions counselor. I know that. You can do the coursework at your own pace online but the clinical are accelerated so that cannot be completed any faster. Grace should be able to answer some questions for you.

Are you able to request if you can't work weekends or nights?

Nope. The labs are all on the weekend and you can only loosely make schedule requests. That would probably be a deal breaker.

It's two years once you are in the nursing program. The first 6 months of the program don't count towards the 2 years so it's 2.5 years total.
