Hi everyone!
Did you hear about anyone who failed on 75 questions?

Yes. Lots of people fail with 75 questions. Just because you got 75 questions doesn't mean you pass. However a most people with 75 questions do indeed pass.
The number of questions is only the number of questions.

Nope. never heard of anyone failing with 75 questions. I know that the number of questions doesn't mean how well you did, but in general if you've always been a good testaker, I'd tend to think you did very well passing with the minimum number of questions, and did not fail miserably in the least number of questions.

Yah! a friend of mine who took the NCLEX with me also stopped at 75 and failed but alot of my friends who stopped at 75 passed the test :yelclap:
75 can either mean pass or fail so do 265 or any number item in between 75 and 265 and the computer stops throwing question on you. Nobody can tell The goal is to answer each question in the best way possible :behindpc: hope everyone in this forum pass :heartbeat

The number of questions means absolutely nothing. It is the level of questions that counts. :)

I passed with 75.
I work w/ a new nurse who failed w/ 75. After taking it, but before results were posted, she said she thought it wasn't that hard. She said she only had 2 "select all that apply" and had a math question (which are known to be easy level questions).
I thought that if you have passed, you are supposed to think that it was really hard b/c you were getting hard questions.

I think that is a valid assessment. I believe that NCLEX is a progressive test and when a question is answered wrong, it will go down to an easier question.

How do you know the level of the questions? Like I thought they all where pretty hard. Most of mine were assessement ones and disease process. Are the questions about certain disease processes. ie. Beurgers, lupus, guilen barre, ms, considered higher end questions?
My friend failed with 80 and another passed with 265...I am waiting on results after shutting off at 75...I hate waiting!!

did you get the "credit card page"? if not than they say you passed. i took mine yesterday and it shut off at 85 (lpn) and i came home and did the pvt trick and the pop up window said 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time" this means you passed? or no?
now i am confused.....
