Anyone else waiting to hear from San Diego State University?

So April 15th has come and gone. Now we sit and wait. I know that letters won't start coming out until June, right?

I will admit that I'm nervous - I worry about my GPA not being good enough because of the utter failure I was when I first attended college 17 years ago. I've pulled a 3.91 GPA at the college I attend now, and have a 2.92 cumulative between the two colleges (like I said, failure.)

I scored a 92% on the TEAS and am doing well in the pre-reqs, except for Psychology. I won't receive points for that one since I had a C- way back when. I am retaking that this summer in order to raise my GPA.

Any other thoughts? How are you feeling? What is your history?

Good luck and blessings to all :) It's a pleasure to be a member of this forum.

coriander... i know you'll get in the program this spring :) as for me... i didn't retake any classes to increase my points. i couldn't handle another semester in o-chem and anatomy.. besides, the classes were all full at the time they said i could re-do them.

however, i did get a letter from the swc-adn program stating that i may be starting this fall. so... if it doesn't work out for state, i'll start a program this year.. wahoo!

.. did you take any classes at sdsu this semester? i took the personality psych class and a couple others to fulfill my grad requirements.

i'm excited for you! i know you'll do great whichever program you are in. :) i think i'm nervous because i never checked to make sure my transcript was sent in for my one class over the summer (which, of course, is the one class i had to retake) lol.

i also took the psych of personality class on tuesday nights - and took forensic anthropology as well for requirements. i retook poli sci 102 and took an american indian heritage class to fill my 12 units since my spanish class was cancelled.

good luck to you chickadee!!!

I just spoke with someone in the Nursing office, and she told me they would start calling people tomorrow. I also received an e-mail from a friend of mine who is also waiting, and she mentioned that they might take as many as 72 people.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow and the next day. I'm a second semester student and will be there at the New Student Orientation, and I look forward to meeting everyone!

I received an email AND a phone call this afternoon with their Congratulations!

I'm so happy I could cry!!!

Congratz Coriander! That's so great to hear that you made it in! I am still waiting...but I dunno. I only have 68 points with the fall 06 criteria, so I'm kind of scared its not going to happen for me. Would you happen to know the point cut off for this semester? Congratz again!

Sweet_Shay, I don't know what the cut-off is for this semester... I was told they were taking more than expected. I really hope you get your call. I'll be thinking of you.

Thank you Coriander for listening and hoping for me! I didnt get the call today and I assume they are done with their lists for calling people...I guess I will just have to wait for the next application period. Until then I will work on my back up major and working towards trying to get into a radiological technology program. Thank you again for caring though and CONGRATZ! :)

I asked what the point cut off was for Spring, and was told it was 70. Unfortunately there were a LOT of people with 70 points, so they had to go by GPA for some people. 72 people were admitted.
