Hi there,

Congratulations to all who got in...patience pays off.

Yippeeeee, I got Scottsdale Accelerated/ SHC partnership, it was my 1st choice (I'm not an employee). My timestamp was Oct. 17, 2008. Congrats to everyone who got their letter. I know you have been on pins and needles waiting too!!! Good luck to everyone!!!

Plan on spending about $1,200.00 up front on your books. We were required to buy them all at once, as well as the medical supplies bag from the bookstore. However, if you're given the book list ahead of time, you can shop around and possibly buy some of them used online. Not to mention you can get the medical supplies bag for about half the cost of the bookstore online (pocketnurse.com). You will also need to buy your MCCDNP uniforms at Apparel Pro USA in Tempe, and they run about $50.00 for a top and pants.

Congrats to all that got in. I remember how excited I was to get that letter. Best of luck in all of your programs!!!

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE THAT GOT IN!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine how excited you all must be! My timestamp is feb 09 and judging from the fall 08 timestamps that got in hopefully I will get in spring 2011. Did everyone get their first choice???

Thank you for putting this here! I'm hoping that SCC will list the books that we need. I tried looking at the schools site for this semester to get a feel of how prices are going to be for textbooks. Pinching my pennies now!! lol.

What is your suggestion on how many uniforms to purchase?

Also, does anyone know if the scrubs colors for each school is different or are they all white?

There are a few deferments that have gone through....hopefully you'll be able to be one of the few who will get placement for fall after all the deferments are processed!

I received my 2nd choice, Scottsdale. First was Mesa traditional.

I purchased 2 sets for now, and the white MCCDNP warm up jacket. The color is standard for the whole MCCDNP nursing program....caribbean blue. (teal) I would purchase some solid white long sleeve or thermal tees too, as it gets cold in the hospitals, and the only jacket they allow is the one I mentioned above (It's anything but stylish)
