  1. The link below that article indicates it's from 2009.
  2. I had -******** too, and I agree his class is hardcore, but I tell you what, I learned and retained more in that class than any other. I highly recommend this class.
  3. No, that is not true. I'm sure they prefer BSN prepared nurses, but they do still consider ADN nurses.
  4. I disagree. I took both A&P 1&2 at Estrella CC and had awesome instructors both times.
  5. I work in a large hospital group and the typical patient assignment in L & D is 2 laboring moms to one nurse, and the ratio in post partum is 4 couplets to one nurse, sometimes less depending on acuity.
  6. I really liked MH. I took her class for AP 2, however she does teach both, and i would recommend taking both with her. I had ES for AP 1. He was a little more difficult but a good instructor nonetheless.
  7. I got the "thanks but no thanks" e-mail today.
  8. I also applied, and my status still says "under review", however I've not been contacted for an interview.
  9. It most certainly can be done. :) I completed the ADN program at Gateway Community College, then immedietly enrolled in the 14 month RN-BSN program at Grand Canyon University, all while raising two young boys, and working full time outside of the home. (and don't worry, A & P II was much easier than A & P I. I took them both at Estrella, so PM me if you want the name of some good instructors.) :)
  10. That's fantastic news!! Congratulations!!
  11. I have an ADN, however I'm in an RN-BSN program, so will have a BSN soon.
  12. I've got the same application status....hoping to hear something in the next few days. Best of luck to everybody!!!
  13. I know a couple of former classmates who have received the rejection e-mail as well. My application status still says it's being reviewed by recruiting, but I've not received a phone call or e-mail requsting an interview either.
  14. Really? Already? I check the status of my application everyday, so far so good. I applied for the January program, but didn't get an interview. I'm going to stay positive though, and hope for the best this time. Best of luck to you, I know how discouraging the new grad job hunt is.
