I got my acceptance letter to start in the Fall. Is anyone in this program going to work as well? I have to work but I know they discourage it while in the program.
I am also going to work. We should stay in touch during the semester. Do you live in SC?
I would discourage full time work. To give u an example...this summer in pharm alone I have 6 chapters a week to read and know. That does not include the case studies, tests, lectures to watch and projects. It's rough but do doable. For me...I went part time. Good luck!!

I am in a program at this school now and am attending full-time and working full-time. It really depends on how you are able to manage time, stress, and other factors in your life. I'm in my third semester now and started clinicals in my second.
Hi there,
I would love to stay in touch! I am just finishing my BSN at Pfeiffer University online and have no contact with the other students (outside of the discussion board postings) so I find this very frustrating. I am very nervous about starting. I am sure we will meet at the orientation August 8 & 9th. I live in NC in Charlotte so will be going across the border to SC for my clinicals.
Just FYI...SC and NC just entered into SARA which means within the next couple of months you should be able to do your clinicals in NC!! I am in NC too so I was gonna have to drive too.
I hope classes are going good for you. I am over halfway through my first semester of NP school at south carolina. Have you taken pathophysiology and health assessment? If so how would you compare them to pharmacotherapeutics? Thanks.
Patho is very similar to Pham in tests and work load. I have not taken assessment till spring cause I couldn't find clinical space till then. Most sites were booked over 6 months out. So I switched a class in fall for one in spring.

Can anyone explain the out-of-state tuition for USC MSN PMHNP for me? I am out of state and have been told two different things. I was told everyone pays $533/credit since it is online (by bursars office but the staff member I spoke to didn't sound sure) but have seen a $1340/credit rate listed on USC's website for all MSN out-of-state? Could someone please clarify? Thanks so much!
I was charged the $1000+ or whatever it is per credit hour and I am out of state. I read online that only a couple of the MSN programs count for online tuition cost and that NP is not one of them unfortunately
