Hi, I was just curious to see who else was applying for charity school of nursing fall 2014. My profile score is currently a 60. it would be higher if I had a&p 2 finish but im not taking that class until after I turn in my application. I made an 80 on my hesi, but im going to retake it right before I turn in my app to try and get a higher score to replace the profile points I'm missing for not having a&p 2 done yet.
Congrats again on getting in! I can answer some of your questions...I am a level 1 student. No your stethoscope doesn't have to be a certain color, but it does have to have a bell and a diaphragm. On non clinical days you do not have to wear uniform, but if you chose to we wear navy blue scrubs. on clinical days we wear the all white Charity uniform...white shoes the whole deal.
If you guys go to the dcc website click locations click charity school of nursing and click registration(in red) and click level 1 you will kind of see how the scheduling goes.. Its doesn't change that much in level 1 because my schedule was just like that. that way you can kind
of start making plans for the fall
@naeema_rn can u tell me about how much the first semester cost you. Books uniforms supplies etc? I saw there were "required" ebooks that we need. I looked on the website and they are really expensive. Looks like I will be working a lot of overtime to pay for this stuff!!!
Can you provide me the link or direct me to where you see the required ebooks?
Also, just FYI Pass Port Health in Metairie has Hep B shots available by appointment (504-456-8515). Office visit cost $25 and each shot in the series will cost $90 each.
I saw the cost on the delgado website. go to the charity school of nursing campus and click on current students then welcome letter. I believe it's on the last page where you'll see the cost. Be advised that is for the incoming spring 14 class. Who knows what'll change by the fall. Thanks for the immunizations info btw
