I have tried about 2-3 times and after 2 years, im still not in a program yet! Has anyone waited a long time before they got accepted? Anyone discouraged and ready to give up? Well im not giving up and you shouldn't neither!! Albeit I may get discouraged from time to time, Im still aspiring to become a Nurse no matter what.I have researched other health careers , but I've been on the track to become a Nurse for too long to give up suddenly. What are you doing to stay determined?

Don't give up! Have you tried LPN schools too? The RN schools are harder to get into.

I applied to like 14 schools and I was willing to relocate. They're school in upsate NY with a low gpa requirement that want and need students. Also try the private colleges in the local area they are also more receptive to accepting students. Don't give up--I didnt and I got in.
Wow, I feel better myself, I thought I was the only one willing to locate. Yea I'll suggest trying the private school also. If there is a LPN program for 1 yr. You can take it and then go into the LPN to RN transition program.

Yes, don't give up. I've tried on and off to get into a RN program and just finally decided to apply to LPN programs. I will be attending Rockland Boces in the fall. Here is the link to LPN programs in NYS:

Hope this helps. Good Luck!!
