Has anyone appied and been accepted into the RN program at DBCC? If so what was your GPA? How were your NET scores?

I thought orientation was good and it seems like we'll have alot of support.I got Deltona, at first I was kinda dissapointed, but now I'm ok with it, I mapquested the campus and its the same distance from my house as Daytona, so thats a plus. I'm not half as nervous anymore. Goin back to get book loan tomorrow because I didn't feel like waiting.

Hey guys,

Well I thought orientation went alright. I was tired from waiting in the financial aid office for so long just to turn in my scholarship paperwork! I did get the campus I wanted Daytona Days, but if anyone got nights I have a few friends in there also. I can't believe how much money all this is turning out to be. I chose to do days because my daughter is going into gifted classes in the second grade and i need to be home to help her with her homework and I will be in school while she is and then pick her up from after school care when I get out. so it seems it is going to work out fine.

I will also be at t he book store today, book loans! I didn't even get enough 600.00 to get all my books! Which sucks but I will make it work, I guess I will have to come back when I get my book voucher and get one of the books with that.

Well I will talk to you guys later.

I can't seem to get onto the faculty webpage with the document links that they discussed during orientation... anyone else having this problem??? It says page not found.

yeah, the links are not working.

So I went to the book store and got my books today with my book loan, but I had to wait on one of them because I didn't get enough. Guess I will be there again when book vouchers come out.

You got all of them but 1 at one time?!?!? How on earth did you make it out to your car???

My daughter was with me and she had one bag and I had two, but then a security guy gave us a ride:D I still need one more for 139 bucks but I didn't have the funds for that.

I went and got my physical, tb test, urine, and now i have to get blood drawn. But I am almost done finally. Still don't have my HEP B test, but I will get it sooner or later.

I haven't seen any of the books yet, are they big?

The Basics and Pharmacology big are huge but no worse the say the A&P or Micro book. And so far, in the Basics book the chapters seem pretty short.

The books arent to big really, there are just a lot of them.

So, I have to take the CPR class again because my CPR card doesn't say 'for the health care provider'. Be honest with me, do I need the book or not cause the paper I got says I have to have the book to get into the class. Is it easy?

While you may not need the book, if it says you have to have the book to get into the class than get it. Just my 2 cents.
