Anyone currently attending Monroe College?

U.S.A. New York

Hello Everyone!

I've just received my acceptance into Monroe College's Progressive Nursing Program for the Winter semester! So I just figured id make a thread for any other people who are currently attending or have recently gotten accepted into the program.

For those of your currently attending, how is it going so far?

Is there anything I should know before the semester starts?

Id love to hear how everyone is doing and possibly get to know my fellow nursing students!

 OK Thank you

So long as you've gotten a score of at least "proficient" you should be in the green. I had a proficient score myself, but ofc having a competitive GPA always helps too! Good luck!

Will the interview somehow impact your acceptance?

The interview is used to see the person behind the application, they already reviewed your application, the interview to me was a base to express your passion verbally and for them to see who you are. FYI most nursing programs love when men apply, we need more men in the field. I know you did great! Is this for the Progressive track?

@Ashley Reyes  Hi! were you able to get your Financial Aid break down?

How long till they sent you the letter of acceptance after the interview? Thanks!

Hi, same I was interviewed on Wednesday last week, but didn't hear anything back yet. And am getting really nervous each day. Been working on this since June. You can email me your number so maybe I can text you. [email protected]

God is amazing! I guess I did not miss the deadline, I went to a nursing session a while back and asked for my application to be deferred for 2021, so I was able to use. I was giving a  interview(Friday) and received this Today ....

I am so hyped?

Hi, did they send you an email first or this just came in the mail? Also after the interview how many days it took them to tell you that you got accepted?

Oh what a coincidence! Although this my first degree, I'm also coming over from Lehman! My semester also starts in January, so maybe we'll even share a class or two. I'm supposed to be speaking with a financial advisor sometime this week. What about you?

Hello, I received my acceptance letter into Monroe accelerated nursing program (second degree) for Winter  2021. I am transferring from City tech to Monroe, looking to meet other students who are going to be in the program too and also get more information about it from other student.

Awesome! I’m also in the accelerated program and a transfer. Did they give you our schedule yet? It’s pretty intense

No, not yet. I received the letter yesterday, called the advisor today but no answer. Sent her an email, waiting for her reply. OMG! I hope it won’t be so much ??‍♀️ I still want to work even if it’s 15 hours weekly, also is your schedule mostly online and clinical don person?

Hi! I have been pretty busy the last week, so sorry its taken a while to respond. I had to submit a bit of extra paperwork, but I'm hoping to have a finalized package by the end of this week/ next week the latest. Then I assume ill be able to get in touch with an academic advisor who can help put together my schedule.

How about you? Any new developments on your end ?

Congrats on your acceptance! I'm glad you could find someone to connect with from the accelerated program ?

No worries!  I am waiting to be repackage, hopefully it'll be soon as well. So far,  I was giving my username and password, and access to the online system .  I also have the two classes (Pharmacology and Fundamentals).

I was told that the  uniform tops are purchased from Flynn o' hara , and we can get the white scrub pants from any other place ,as well as any white footwear.

I am just trying to do as much as I can before I go back to work in a few weeks.
