Anyone from CA who took the NCLEX on the 16th?

hello there! i too checked the website 5:33am.. but my name didnt appear. i took mine feb17.. im not sure if weekend is included. im losing hope... huhuuhhuhhuuhu.

Please everyone take a deep breath and relax. The BRN will publish results either by letter or on website once they have been reviewed once your file is complete. The average time for Ca is 3-10 days although I now see on the BRN website they have changed it to 2-4 weeks. There is nothing you can do but wait, believe me I know that is hard to do but with the high volume of applicants and closing 2 days a month there are bound to be delays.

why are they closed every 1st and 3rd friday? just curious.. :thnkg:coz that'll just only leave them tons of things to do.. you know because of the lag..

but what do i know.. they proly have a very good reason for that.. just wondering why.. :urgycld:

Hi imconfused: Don't get discourage yet. Remember, they had Friday off this week. I dont think they are open on weekends so let's wait again next week (I know its hard!). I took mine on the 16th, which is a holiday, plus yesterday is the 3rd friday of this month so that only gave me 3 days for the BRN to process my application (if they did). I'm still hoping by next week I will see my name on the website. If not, then i'm back to the drawing board.

Hi darthgirl: The BRN is closed every 1st and 3rd friday of each month per executive order's request. I believe the state of california is trying to save as much money so they could reduce spending since we are in a lot of debt already. This also applies to other state workers as well such as DMV. Hope I answered your question.

All state offices except for a few, are now closed on those two days of the month because of the fiscal crisis in CA. Something that must be put up with and factored in when dealing with any state entity.

Hi imconfused: You're welcome! Im anxious to find out as you are. I hate going online and only finding out my name is still not on the website. At least I know I'm not the only one who is feeling that way. If only our state has the fast result where we can pay to see our result. That way, we dont have to go through this anxiety. The bottom line, I just want to know if I pass or not. Then, I can move on.

dartgirl, that's because it's furlough Friday here in CA. So 1st and 3rd friday of the month, everyone in government offices are having their temporarily layoff day for that day b/c of the budget crisis in CA. Hope that helps. Yup! It will definitely slow things down. Good luck everyone. :up:
