Hi,
Since there was a very extensive thread last year about application process to Yale, I thought I would start a new thread for 2009 hopefuls. I am working on my application and wanted to know who else chose Yale as one of their options. What program? How is the application process going? Essay writing? Any anxieties? I am applying to the Adult Advanced Practice Nursing but still deciding on the specialty. The hardest part for me is the essay writing as English is not my first language, but I have been working on it for some time now and getting close to finishing the final version. Anyone else wants to share?
Seems nursing schools(by this i'm referring to UPENN and YSN) are notorious for not updating their websites or the sites aren't too user-friendly. WannabePNP, the following website may be of some use to you. http://www.yale.edu/graduateschool/academics/calendar_2009_2010.html Its not specific to Nursing, but the info there may be of some use to you, as far as planning for the fall etc.
Abby - we won't hear about the Fuld scholarship until the summer. At that time they will announce their decisions and they will announce the amount.
So...did everyone get the email from Frank Grosso? There's so much stuff to be done and it's all in ten different places...they should have just had one list that we could check off...
Does anyone know how much the Prescription Plus coverage for the health insurance costs? I can't find any info anywhere... I signed up today for the CPR course for the professionals at our neighborhood Red Cross headquarters. I made a list of things to do and slowly going through it to get them accomplished gradually. My savings account is shrinking very fast...
Lilly, I know what you mean about your savings account shrinking! I'm not sure how much the prescription plan costs either. Has anyone started applying for private and/or Grad Plus, etc. loans yet? I know we had to choose our lender for the Stafford loans when we sent in our financial aid acceptance paperwork, but I'm just curious as to when we are supposed to begin the process of applying for other loans. Is it still too early in the game, or are you all applying for loans now? Just curious.

Soooo I'm officially going to Yale, sent in my deposit! I'm sooo excited. Now that I've made a final decision I can start stressing about other things like housing, finding a roomate, etc haha. Can't wait to meet you all this August!
