Anyone applying to WCCCD in June 09, for Spring 2010

Hi im actaully reapplying in febuary for august 09 start with a 3.4 GPA. Thats kind of low compared to the last semester cut off a 3.7 so i am retaking micro this spring to bring my GPA up just in case. Who is your professor for micro? I also have to retake the NET because my reading was lower than the new requirement. So depending on how good I do on the NET in febuary and if a 3.4 is good enough I may start in August 09 or I know I will have everything together for January of 2010 for sure!!

We can't mention the names of our professors, I have Micro at the Downtown capmus... I read on ratemyproffesor that the guy is good, as long as you study...

I wish you luck in Micro... Where are you taking the Net? I'm taking it at HFCC on the 6th of Feb..

If you are taking micro downtown, as far as I know there is only one teacher, I had him, and it was a lot of work, but I liked the class and I learned a lot, I am very thankful that he made me study to pass, a lot of the things I learned have been helpful

Mello, think we are talking about the same guy.. What you said, is pretty much what posters on ratemyproffesor said.. So, I plan on grabbing the book ASAP so I can get a start on the reading... Do you have any pointers, beside the obvious (read and study)?

He gives hand-outs and good notes. If you remember stuff from Bio 155 it will be easier. try to learn what microorganism causes which disease as you go along instead of waiting for the test on them.

Hey Mello:

I'm guessing BIO 155 would be basic Biology.. I took that in HS.. however I did take Microbiology

of healt and disease at OCC... My plan was to attend OCC, but I think WCCCD will be a better fit

for me...

Hello I am also applying in June 09 for spring 2010. I am taking a &p 2 && micro (online) this semester && i am taking my NET test at HFCC it's computerized && you get ur score faster. WCCC still has paper tests && you have to wait for your results in the mail. What is ur gpa?? i will have a 3.8 if i ace micro && a & p 2. I also am taking a CPR class on the 30th this month. Only $55 bucks one day 4 hour class which includes the book && fee for your card && it is a 2 year cert.

HI! I am applying for the program in FEB, but I am also redoing my micro online at the downriver campus and retakin my net, just in case I dont get in when I apply in FEB.. I am also takin patho online...

For everyone that has questions on CPR, the nursing program will offer one to those accepted..I dont know what you have to pay, but they do offer it once you are accepted...

I am takin micro at the downriver campus also, on saturdays. We may have class together. The nursing program will offer a class for CPR and first aid, once you are accepted. I am applying with a 3.4 in FEB..but in June i should have a 3.7 and special consideration.....
