Hi everyone,
I applied to SRJC ADN and wanted to see who else applied. I'm new to Allnurses, so my apologies if there is already a thread. If you know any info about when they are emailing us, or if you know other details, please share. Good luck everyone!!
This may be a stupid question, but what do we need to bring with us on the TEAS testing day? Do we have to register for the test before hand or is that done there? The letter was really vague on what to do, it just said to show up at the given time and when I emailed Donna to confirm the test time she just said she marked me confirmed for that day and gave no further instruction. I made an account with ATI Testing like the letter said to do but is that all that needs to be done? I am probably overthinking everything, I just don't want to arrive on the test day and be turned away because I forgot to do or bring something. Can anyone tell me more about what happens on exam day?
I took the teas yesterday too! I was very happy with my score. Im an alternate as well. How did you find out where you are on the list? I don't know how many alternates are kept but I would assume there is enough for another class. So I would say at least 60. Maybe 65. That's just a guess though.
My friend asked the day we were sent the first letter so I did too even though we weren't supposed to. I think there may be more like 20 people. My friend took her test today and said 4 people didn't show and 4 people in the last week have not passed. But guess what....I just got my acceptance letter 10 minutes ago to get into the 2017 Spring program so you may be soon!! Whoop Whoop!!!!

Everyone has doubts about big life choices. But at the risk of sounding grandiose, it sounds like you are answering a calling. You have to follow what you already know is right and true for you. The next couple of years will be very tough, you will doubt this choice again, probably more than once. On the other side of nursing school, you may well exceed what you now earn. More importantly, you will be doing what you love. I understand that your parents feel that you're set, why change things up. But your degree in Biology will serve you so well in nursing school, it helped you get this far, let them know that. You'll only 24 units to do after nursing school to get your BSN, that's awesome! If you're parents can't celebrate with you right now, it's just fear speaking-they want you to be happy and secure. But I will celebrate with you right now. Welcome to the program.
