Anyone applying to SRJC ADN for Fall 2016?

Hi everyone,

I applied to SRJC ADN and wanted to see who else applied. I'm new to Allnurses, so my apologies if there is already a thread. If you know any info about when they are emailing us, or if you know other details, please share. Good luck everyone!!

I have been accepted to the Spring of 2018. This news came in by e-mail a day after the TEAS test (I have also completed mine earlier), on June 23rd. I guess, someone did not show up for the test, and I was high up on the list to be offered fill in the space right away. Right now I am in the process of submitting all my medical records, etc. It is a bummer that I was not accepted to the Fall semester, but hey, who would complaine with a guarantee that I can start in in January.

In any case, it is useless to call or e-mail to Donna Green or even Anna Valdez (an Associate Dean of the ADN Program) asking them whether you have a chance to get in. They do not disclose any information. Trust me, I tried in several different ways. Just wait for an e-mail (make sure you check you spam folder), keep your fingers crossed, and be prepared to move fast to work on your medical records, background screening check, drug test, etc. Once you get that majical e-mail to let you know that you have been "provisionally accepted", I would not wait a minute and start working on submitting all requested paperwork.

On the last note, I am a bit puzzled how is that possible that one can be on an alternate list for both Fall and Spring semester at the same time, especially since one would have to complete a 2-unit Nutrition course - FDNT 162 - prior to starting the program. There are two sections offered in the Fall of 2017. I am not sure that it would be possible to join the Fall cohort without passing through this course. Donna Green was very explicid in her e-mail about that.

All such great information! I have already completed nutrition and all other necessary courses. I hope to receive an email after the TEAS exam date which is the 17th. Hopefully people wont show/wont pass and it'll give me my opportunity ! Crossing fingers! Thanks for the info!! Maybe I'll see you in spring :)

Ronni, I hope luck will be on your side. Waiting is very hard! Who knows, maybe I will see you at school.

Lucky for you if you have already completed both Nutrition courses. FDNT 162 (Diet Therapy Healthcare) is not the same as a prerequisite to the application FDNT 10 (Elementary Nutrition).

I took FDNT 62 which is a class with a diet therapy component. I only have to take that one and I did it ahead of time. :) So, that is out of the way! Thanks for the input! Good luck to you with school!!

Hello all! I was accepted for Fall 2017 and was wondering if anyone can give me any information regarding group numbers. When will we know if we are in group 1 or 2? Just curious, trying to make a schedule for my little one. :) TIA!!!

I started the program this last spring and we were notified about a month ahead of time what groups we were in. You should receive an email any day now. Congrats!!!
