Anyone applying to Rush?

I just wanted to see if there is anyone else applying to Rush University for the BSN program. I applied for the accelerated four quarter program starting in January 2008...still waiting for a response from them!

I applied for the same program as you did. I haven't heard anything yet.

I called them today, and they said that we would hear about the next step in the process in "mid-March." They said they are really backed up...for some reason.

I got a call last week, and my interview is March 30. Have you heard anything yet?

Does anyone know how much rush hospital pays their rn's?

Yeah...I received a call sometime last week as well

Now all we have to do is do well in the interview and get a good score on the exam!!

Interviews are always the scariest part for me.

I don't know the current pay scale, but can assure you that it is competitive. Rush is located within spitting distance of both U of I and Cook County (Stroger), both of which are unionized. In order to avoid having to deal with a union, Rush keeps its salaries, benefits and working conditions similar to those of the near-by unionized hospitals.

Hi, I just stumbled into this post. Just wanted to say congrats to those who just got a call from Rush. I just heard from them too and my interview is also March 30. Good luck to all of us.

Maybe I'll see you there! My interview is at 10:30...I'll be the one who looks nervous! haha. Good luck!

My interview is at 1 pm. But my TEAS is at 9. What time will you be taking yours?

  • Author

My TEAS is at 11. Hopefully it won't be too long because I'm going to be taking it right through lunch!

do u know if the interview will be conducted in groups or individually?

I was there in April for the TEAS. Unfortunately I did great on the TEAS but didn't get accepted.

For the one year program you will begin the TEAS and when you're done you will wait for your turn to be interviewed. They interview individually with two staff members present.

Good luck!! I think Rush is a great school. I may do my RN-BSN there.
