  1. All of the PCTs at Rush wear maroon color scrubs. Nurses on most of the floors do not have to wear color coded uniform except for the L&D/baby/nursery section. Hope that helps
  2. i actually didn't do the GEM interview. I interviewed for the ABSN program. but i think they should be similar. There were two faculties that interviewed me. Asked questions such as why nursing? what do you think the job of a nurse is? Will you be working? Do you have a car? How will you finance your schooling...things like that. Not hard questions. Oh yeah, they will also go over your application essays and ask you something about them too. Good luck with your interview. Don't be nervous. :)
  3. yeah, i'm bummed about the interview. but actually i have decided to go to the GEM program instead so i won't be starting until June. :) Good luck with everything...:)
  4. i was gonna ask you the same question. i guess we didn't make it
  5. thanx for the tips :)
  6. i'm so sorry to hear that. will it be too much to ask how the interview was?
  7. i just dropped it off today. so nervous. certainly will let you know. u do the same :)
  8. I gonna drop it off at Rush tomorrow. Goodluck to the both of us
  9. Hi, I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted for the ABSN program at Rush for Jan 08 did the nursing service scholarship application. If you did, did you hear from the committee yet?
  10. if you want to become an NP eventually, I would think that the GEM program is better for you. Because once u're done, u'd only have to take several more courses and u'll be done. You wouldn't have to go through the entire master NP program again. This is wat i was told at the informational meeting. As for me, my goal is CRNA so I am debating which program to take. As far as I know, CRNA program would not be shorter for me even if I already have an MSN.
  11. hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone who have been accepted to the ABSN program at Rush has changed their minds and applied to the GEM program instead. I looking for some info on that but Rush's admission office has not been very helpful. thanx, Kathy
  12. I got mine today 2. Congrats everyone
  13. I wonder if we were asked similar questions. mine were: 1. why I want to be a nurse? and why now? 2. what is my definition of a nurse 3. list and explain 5 things about me that makes me a good nurse there were also questions like do i have a car? how will i pay for school....things like that
  14. Me too, it's OVER. now the wait begins. The interview was not as nerve-wrecking as I thought....
  15. I'm a bit nervous about the Science portion. Other sections I think I'm ok with. I really nervous about the interview. Anyways good luck everyone. I will see you all there in 2 hrs.
