Hello! I just submitted my application to NGCSU for next fall. I'm trying to figure out what typical stats are...I have seen posts from previous years and I am getting discouraged about getting in! I didn't think I needed to take A&P and Micro before the application deadline so I will only have A&P 1 completed by then...I'm trying to figure out if that is going to seriously hurt my chances. I have a BS in Chemistry from NGCSU so I have several science classes but my GPA was low...I really want to go to school there!!!! Does anyone know typical stats for students that are accepted?
The lower accepted amount has nothing to do with faculty. There is no faculty cuts. I heard it is due to possibly phasing out the ASN program.
Yes, two other people have told me that, but I haven't confirmed it with the department. In any case, I hope that we'll be grandfathered into the BSN program once we get accepted.
I attended one of their Information Sessions and it was announced there. Those that are in the ASN program now and those that will be starting in the fall are ok. They will finish as normal and wont be affected. It has nothing to do with the consolidation. Pbco you are correct in saying that employers favor BSN.

Hmmmm.... Wonder why they dropped the amount of spots for the program?
