anyone applying to gsu spring 2012 my GPA is 3.4. Im retaking the teas i got a 76, i think, the first time. i asked before but not to many people responded, so im asking again:D.

I figured that because registration doesn't open until tomorrow, so that's probably why they were able to register now instead of having to wait. Just a thought... Yes, you're right, anyone can register for that class, I took it too in Spring 2011. I just figured that because reg registration is closed until the 26th.

Registration opened up for me today. :o

Maybe we'll get some news in the mail today?

I hope so. >w

My friend got her acceptance letter on this day last year. lol.

By the way, Alliecares, did you apply as ACE? Traditional? Both?

@Iceangels30- The wait is grueling... Don't be discouraged though, there's still hope for us! ;-) I really don't wanna see the stats posted yet though, because that usually means that the class is complete. I know what you mean though, you just want to know what the competition looks like. I feel the same...

I applied to both. I took the classes for the Ace curriculum, but I'll take which ever program will have me! What about you?

I only applied traditional. :/ I was still missing Psych 3140 and HHS 3000 in order to apply for ACE. Grrr. Oh well. >__

And the wait continues. lol.

mail came... nothing for me today. I did speak with my friend who is in the ace program now. Her stats were 4.0 gpa, program was higher than 4.0 because ga state gives A+... (she has a bunch of those) and a 94 teas score. She said she did not get her letter until the 3rd or 4th wave of letters so for us not to worry... Yeah she can say that because she is in the program. lol.. I know she is right though. We did all that we can do to get in. She also told me that even though she was accepted into the program she still could not register for her classes. She had to wait. I think they send the letters our in the order they receive them. When I turned in my application... I asked for it back so that I can double, double, double check to make sure it was correct. But I noticed when I handed it back to her she did not place it on top she placed in two applications below where she got it from. And my friend, she turned in her application on the last day late afternoon. Any thoughts!!

Hey guys! I thought I'd hop in on this thread. At this exact same time last year I applied for the Spring 2011 ACE program and I got accpeted. I had a 3.71 GPA and an 87 TEAS and I got my letter on Friday October 29th. The applicant count last year was 189 and I spoke to the nursing department today and they said there were less than 200 this semester as well, just like last year. So just imagine, less than 200 applicants and 72 get in. That's almost half! Thats pretty good. Word of advice: ACE IS EXTREMELY HARD. Hard is an understatement actually. They make you have such high grades to get in because trust me, they WILL drop when you're in there. In the program, you need a C in all your classes to pass and a lot of us pray just to get C's on our exams, we dont even care about A's anymore. lol. I had a hardship last semester and im not sure if it's gonna get approved or not so I had to re-apply for next semester just in case. And yes, there is a point system. Here's something that someone posted last year about the points system. hope it helps. :D

They give up to 15 points for grades (program GPA not overall)

4.0-15

3.8-3.99-14

3.7-3.79-13

3.6-3.69-12

3.5-3.59-11

3.4-3.49-9

3.3-3.39-8

up to 10 points for TEAS

in 5 pre rec science classes based on grade A-2, B-1, C-0

up to 2 pts for essay

up to 1 pt for each recommendation

UPDATE EVERYONE: I went to drop off my acceptance letter for ACE today and asked the lady (sorry I don't know her name) in the front how many letters she sent out. At first she was hesitant to tell me but then she kindly said "about thirty something". I'm thinking that's for ACE & Traditional. Also, MOM2011, you could be right about the order in which the application is received. I turned my application in on the first week of June and I was one of the first to receive the acceptance this time. Last semester when I got accepted, I turned my application in a week before the deadline, and I was part of the 3rd or 4th wave. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if we can make any sense out of any of this though. Everyone has done their best and put in their all. The only thing left to do is pray and I'm still hoping to hear good news from all of you soon:)

Thanks yayaccepted and Svictor1 for the helpful info!!! If thirty something went out already that means about half of the acceptance letters has gone out !! Yayaccepted do you know i they went out the same day or throughout last week and this week? Maybe they will wait until the 28th to send the rest of the letters out !! It's

Good to hear there were less than 200 applicants .

Thank you for all the info everyone. :D

Now I think I have a better idea of where I personally stand. >_

And if it is done by a first-come-first-serve type basis, I'll probably be last. lol. :p

Glad to hear there were less than 200 applicants though. ^___^

Hey iceangels30 I will probably be last too. I handed my application in the last day lol.

Hey hlee. I turned mine in on the 28th. lol. Guess we can keep each other company. Hahaha :p
