Anyone Applying to Delta College for Spring 2011

With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.

So we actually paid for the ATI book already when we paid for the assessment online or do we have to buy it also?

Yes! It was great to meet you guys face to face...There were so many handouts I felt like I was swimming in paper and now I really feel as if we should be scheduling time to schedule time.:rolleyes: If that makes sense, I'm just not sure If there is time :uhoh3:. LOL! They did say Chaos though for the first 3 weeks! Was anyone by chance able to get their badge after class? Happy Reading Everyone, have a good night!

Have you all checked your email. The school made some automatic changes to our schedule clinical sites so that we are at the same hospital for both Nursing 1 and 2.

Yes, mine was changed. I was scheduled Nurs1 at St Joes and Nurs2 at Tracy, but yesterday they switched Tracy to St. Joes for Nurs2. We found out that we all have to have the same clinical site for the 1 semester. Where are you going to be?

I was changed to Dameron for both, but noticed that there were openings at my 1st choice, which is San Joaquin general, so I dropped Dameron and added SJGH.

I have an off topic question. I purchased my patches for my uniform earlier in the week and when asked where to attach them, the secretary said she didnt know. Where do they go? Is it the right sleeve? Thanks.

I am pretty sure it is left arm, two finger width down from the top of your shoulder.

One of the speakers from our class this week said for her 1st semester she was at SJGH and absolutely loved it!!!!

i just received an email from our instructor reminding us that wednesday, jan. 19th, will be the first day we will be wearing our uniform! eeeeekkk!!! im excited!!!
