With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.
AlyKat,
I was confused about the TB requirement too, but I think 1 is ok as long as it was negative within the last 6 months. I had mine done 7/16 so I am not planning on getting another. I don't see why we would need 2. I have one once a year for work.
Does anyone know when the uniform fitting is yet? How many of you are taking the english course? I am so excited I finally got my accept/decline e-mail after alot of e-mails to the dean and healthsciences. Now I am worried I didn't do it right, lol. Do we get a confirmation saying we accepted??
I am taking the english course, just for the hell of it. I want to make sure I am getting all the assistance I can to help ensure I'm prepared for the next two years.
I did not receive a confirmation email saying we accepted. I too was wondering about the fitting...hope they give us something soon!
Hey everyone, make sure that your tb was a two step process. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the hep c results? Uniform fittings are Monday December 20 10-1 and tues dec 21 11-2 according to the email I got. I decided to take the engilsh 33. I emailed one of the people on this website that is first semester now and they made it sound like it would be a good way to get acquainted with the program, classmates, and the campus so I decided that a little less stress going I. Would be worth it. Anyone went to get their white nursing shoes? Any suggestions on brand and styles, I'm a running shoe girl myself. Thanks everyone!!!!

A few friends of mine are currently in the program, and you do not have to switch clinical sites if you don't want to. They do however, say that some clinical sites are better for certain rotations (like san joaquin general is not good for pediatrics because they don't have many pedia patients and often you are standing around doing nothing).
