Anyone Applying to Antelope Valley College RN program

I didn't see a thread on AVC nursing so I just made one for everyone. IS anyone applying to AVC nursing or in the program already? The person working at the department told me it would be like 3 semester waits. I'm expecting to get in around fall 2011 or spring 2012 since I turn in my application around October 2010. Anyone in the program already, would you please share your experience. Anyone who is about to get in the program, can you please tell me how long you've waited since the time you turn in the application?

mom-e, you still may have a shot at getting in by the fall semester. they invited me to the program 1 month before it started and i heard of others who got in a few weeks before. so, you may still have a shot, it may just be late notice.

lalomartinez, my gf applied to the program as well. after reading your posts, i believe she will be in your class, Spring 2015.

I have been accepted to the Summer LVN-RN bridge program and was hoping I could get some insight on what to do to prepare, from someone who has already bridged. I work at a prison and feel as if I have lost a lot of my skills/knowledge. The syllabus will be available a week before school, but unfortunately I will be out of the country and wont have access to a computer. I would like to be able to take my books on the plane & study when traveling. Can anyone give me some ideas of what to study/read ahead? TIA

Currently number 40 on the wait list so I believe that makes me a candidate for Spring 2015 !! Happy studying to everyone preparing to take the TEAS this fall.

I just sent in my application about a week ago. How long does it normally take for them to review the application and find out what number I am on the waitlist? Should I be following up or is it just for me to wait for them to contact me?

Anyone know when letters will be sent out for spring '15? Getting anxious- I should absolutely be starting Spring- I am 13 on the wait list :) Anyone else starting in Spring too?
