They won't contact you until it's time for your TEAS and then again when you've been offered a spot for the semester. Im not sure how long it takes them but I waited about 2 weeks then I called. Then I'd call again periodically, after the TEAS or each semester just to check. Good luck, hope it goes by quickly!

I called this morning and am now 13 on the list- I guess from people who failed the teas or deferred enrollment to a later semester Yesenia, did you apply to lvn bridge program? I don't know any information on that.. I'm a generic RN applicant. But the bridge is the summer class, the regular program is only spring and fall semesters. As far as I know students who were offered a spot for fall are in the middle of completing everything like physicals, drug and background screenings, getting books, uniforms, CPR certs, etc etc. Good luck!

Thank you! Hoping I get a last minute seat! I had my physical last week and am doing the CPR class in August.. Since those are good for 1-2 years. Anything else I should do ahead of time in case I get an offer? Thanks so much! I figured uniform, books, background and drug test would have to wait until I get an offer..

I am trying to stay hopeful! It's nerve wracking! :) yes I took the teas in April and passed. I'm doing what I can just in case- I had my physical last week and am doing the CPR class in August.. Since those are good for 1-2 years. I didn't do the background or drug screening because I don't know how recent it needs to be to entrance date.. Anything else I should do ahead of time in case I get an offer? Thanks so much!

Starting a new 2014 thread for AVC hopefuls. Seems on the older thread many of them have started or moved on.. I applied June '13 and was hopeful for this fall, but came just shy. Now I am number 3 on the wait list for Spring '15... Still planning on getting my physical and shots, CPR certs, etc done in case anyone defers or backs out. Anyone else out there in for this fall, still waiting or also starting in spring? Love to hear from everyone!

Does AVC accept applications year round, or only during a certain time? I've decided to not work and go back to school full time and will be prepared to apply at the end of Fall '12 semester. I'd like to be as prepared as I can, so I have met with a counselor, registered for BLS and ACLS (early- I know but certs are good for 2 years) and am getting all required vaccine boosters. I just want to know more about it. I understand there is a wait, so during that time I plan on preparing for TEAS and taking any additional lower division to transfer for BSN. Any helpful advice would be appreciated, I want to have everything in line. Do they have informational sessions like COC does for people interested, but not yet accepted into the program? Or do they only have them for those applied and/or accepted? Thanks! :)
