Anyone apply to TVCC ADN program?

Just curious to know if anyone on allnurses.com has applied to TVCC in Kaufman? I'm guessing theres a long wait until the letters go out and thought we could form a mini support group! lol. Also, if there is anyone on here that has gone through the program or have any knowledge about TVCC nursing, such as do/did you like the program, instructors, clinical/clincal sites, & the quality of education. Please post here, Thanks!

TVCC 2012 ADN PROGRAM.....

I have not seen any post yet but I am interested to see what everyone had when they made it in..... I have a 3.4GPA with 10pts and passed hesi..... If you made it in the program what was your scores?

I applied last year with 9 points and GPA was a 3.2, but ended up on the alternate list. I was still missing my microbiology when I applied then, so thats why I had 9 points.This time I took a honors class so now I have 11 points when I apply for the 2012 ADN program. Last year not even all the people with 10 points got in the ADN program. Alot of them ended up on the waiting list too. But good luck to you and keep an update of your status. Alot of the people who made it had 11 ponts and more with taking no extra classes, and many people with 10 points made it with taking a class in the spring because if you take a class while applying for the nursing program it helps just in case of a tie breaker is needed and that extra class helps determine the tie breaker. Some people with 10 points took 1 or 2 classes along with applying to the program cause it a greater chance of getting in. Hope I help you with your question. Good luck again

Do y'all know if....

I'm applying to TVCC for Fall 13 will my courses I'm taking in Spring 13 count? The app is due in December and they'll count fall courses but what about spring? I'd have 17 counting spring but 15 without it so I really want/need it to count!

I thought one of you would know....thanks!!

As long as you apply before December 1, 2012. You have until January 31, 2013 to turn in your final transcript.

Yes, I knew that- but that will count the classes I'm taking right now. So Spring won't count I assume. Ratz
