OMG!!!!!!!! I'm in. Soooooooo excited!!!!!!! 

I just brought a house in Talty Tx which is 10 min away from the Kaufman location for nursing program. I use to stay in Dallas and I use to drive 30 minutes to Terrell campus when I was completing my pre reqs. So I'm super excited about the short commute I have now. As far as clinicals I think they are 3 days a week.

Hello Everyone, I have applied for the 2012 ADN program also, all fingers crossed. I also have 11 points, but I am taking a extra class to brush up on my math. So good luck to all! Its a long wait and hope to meet all of you soon yeah:)

Hello Edarden, I applied last year with 9 points and GPA was a 3.2, but ended up on the alternate list. I was still missing my microbiology when I applied then, so thats why I had 9 points.This time I took a honors class so now I have 11 points when I apply for the 2012 ADN program. Last year not even all the people with 10 points got in the ADN program. Alot of them ended up on the waiting list too. But good luck to you and keep an update of your status. Alot of the people who made it had 11 ponts and more with taking no extra classes, and many people with 10 points made it with taking a class in the spring because if you take a class while applying for the nursing program it helps just in case of a tie breaker is needed and that extra class helps determine the tie breaker. Some people with 10 points took 1 or 2 classes along with applying to the program cause it a greater chance of getting in. Hope I help you with your question. Good luck again

txgrl502, What was her GPA? This reason I dont have 10 point is because I am taking my last pre req micro now and so I was left with 9 points for the program. But I really hope I do get in. Are you also pursuing your BSN? I am taking classes for my BSN with my micorbiology classes now because I hear alot people say that you would most likely get hired in nursing if you have a BSN. I dont know how true that is. But we should all keep in touch on here and good luck to you and I will be praying for us. :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I spoke with someone at TVCC and I ask him do I have a chance getting and he stated this year Fall 2011 nursing they are going to accept more people and I definitely have a chance of getting in. I am just go put it in GOD hands and he will bless both of us to get accepted. Hopefully I get a chance to meet you once were in. Good luck and I will be praying for us!:)

The requirements are A & P I and II, Microbiology, General Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Composition and Rhetoric, Microcomputer Applications, Humanities or a Visual Art. I attend TVCC and just applied for the fall 2011 nursing program. Just waiting to hear something back.
