Anyone apply to St. Mary's CRNA 2019?

Published

Hello all! Just wondering if anyone applied to St. Mary's for the Summer 2019 semester. Has anyone heard anything back or know what their timeline is? I had heard that they no longer do live interviews. Is this correct? Anyway, good luck to whoever applied and hopefully we get to work together next year!

I emailed Daniel and they are on goal statements. He said decision letters will come between now and the end of June. Good luck.

That's good to know. So those who got rejection letters already were just part of the first to be ruled out. The letter made it sound like they had already made their selections but apparently it was just a generic response. Good luck top everyone!

That is what it sounded like.

I was waitlisted for 2018, so I am in for 2019. They told us that our deposits needed to be in by the middle of the month, I am assuming it will be after that when they have an accurate head count of how many they can accept before the send out this years applicants acceptance letters and or waitlist numbers or even more denials.

Yeah that makes sense that they would at least wait until they knew how many were enrolled that were waitlisted last year. How many do they put on the waitlist each year? Congratulations on getting in and hopefully I'll find out soon if we'll get to work together!

I am pretty sure it is 14-15, it could vary year to year. Some years they only get to 3-5 spots on the wait list and some years they go through the entire list. Recently they pulled 2 applicants from the pool of the next years applications and accepted them to start that year. So it really just depends on who else is applying and what they have going on in life/ if they get into other schools they would like to attend. SMUMN is a top 40 school, MN is just a state where every program is ranked decent and is very competitive to get in, maybe because the schools are also some of the cheapest in the country besides the U of M.

Do you know the class size?

I am pretty sure it is 32. We just had 6 or 7 from our hospital start.

Sounds like there's of bunch of you guys from Minnesota! I'm in Northern California(don't like it after living here for a year) and I was in Las Vegas before where i lived my entire life. So, IF I get in, I need to buy A LOT of winter clothes for the family. I've never lived in the cold but I've heard nothing but positive things about the Twin Cities area.

What do you mean by "recently they pulled 2 applicants from the pool of the next years applications and accepted them to start that year"? Do you mean of those who applied for the start of 2019 they already accepted 2 people?

Sorry, I should have clarified. A couple years back they went through the entire waitlist and admitted a couple of applicants early. So instead of being accepted and waiting until the next year, they were able to start immediately that year. That doesn't mean anything for 2019, just saying it for people to understand that every year is different.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but under the "Prospective Students" tab it has been updated, they are processing applications for 2019 and the waitlist is now:0. So it begins! I also got an e-mail from Daniel because I had to send him supplementary info and he said they have moved onto the goal statements. Good luck everyone!
