Just looking for company ... Has anyone applied for ammerman's fall 2011 nursing program? What are your grades and does anyone know last years GPA cutoff? Also, do you know anyone who got in without four A's?
This is a new thread...others are from a few urs ago.
from what i have heard the only reason it is hard to get into because it is cheaper and too many ppl apply its not really based on your academic profile.
A lot of people do apply. They base who gets in on grades in 4 classes: a&p1 and 2, psy101, and eng101. They start with the people that have all A's in those classes and continue until all spots are full, with microbiology being used as a tie breaker. For a community college adn program I think it is a very fair way to assess who gets accepted.
OMG I would do anything to stop this anxiety. I'm going crazy everyday I say today is the day. I check the mailbox and there are only bills. I'm tring to find things to do like projects so I can forget that the letter I'm waiting for has yet to arrive. AHHHHH this is TORTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do you mean the seats for St Catherines? Do they already work there, and get into the nursing program that way?
They are reserved for employees, but it is very competitive and they have to take the same pre-reqs as everyone else and do just as well to get in, supposedly.
Sammy30, everyone is not on a waiting list to get into Suffolk. You either get accepted, denied, or waitlisted. If waitlisted, you are accepted if people that were accepted end up declining. Once the semester starts though you are no longer waitlisted, but just denied.

I looked back on a thread from 2009 or 2010 for Suffolk Fall Nursing, and it showed a lot of people getting their letters from about 4/28 to 5/12 - that was when I saw the most activity on these older threads.... And they were all "accepted or waitlist letters" so we are getting close!
Good luck all!
