Anyone apply to more than one CSU nursing program?

Published

Has anyone applied to more than one CSU nursing program? They say that you must apply to the school and be accepted first and then apply to the nursing program. I recently applied to SDSU, SJSU, CSU EAST BAY, and SCU STANISLAUS as a transfer student to enter fall 2012; however, i'm not sure how to go about the nursing applications. If in fact I get accepted to attend all schools, am I allowed to accept all and then apply for each of their nursing programs. I want to be able to apply to as many CSU nursing programs if possible to better my chances. Thank you!

Go to the schools website and type 'nursing application' it should re direct you into the School of Nursing page. You can apply to ask many programs as you want and its encouraged. Good luck!

You can apply to their nursing schools even if you haven't been admitted yet.

The nursing application for SDSU is open right now. If you plan on applying for their program for fall 2012, you should do it now! They only have one application cycle per year, so if you miss out on this one, you would have to wait until fall 2012 to apply for fall 2013.

Last fall (2010), I was a student at SDSU and applied for their nursing program. I also applied to CSU San Marcos and their nursing program that same semester. I got accepted to CSUSM in April/May 2011 but I didn't know yet if I was accepted to either nursing program. At the end of summer I found that I was rejected from CSUSM's nursing program for fall 2011 but accepted to SDSU's program for spring 2012. So I withdrew from CSUSM and stayed at SDSU.

So yes, you can apply to more than one CSU. Check the school's website to see when their nursing application cycles are open.

I hope this helps!

I'm applying to the same schools as you, just to be safe, but my first choice is east bay.

where do you live?

I applied to three CSU campuses for the Spring, and each one was a little bit different... Read the information at each of the schools' nursing websites AND the University Admissions' websites. Make an Excel worksheet if you have to to keep the requirements and deadlines straight, because if you mess something up, it can delay or even eliminate you from consideration. I've been accepted to my first BSN program of choice and will be starting in January... Good Luck to you!

My goodness CSU Stanislaus will let us know soon!!!!! maybe next week!!! Happy thanksgiving!1
