Anyone apply to the CSU San Marcos ABSN Program?

hi everyone,

i'm new to the site, and was wondering if anyone else may be waiting for their response from csu san marcos for the spring 09 absn cohort? i am patiently waiting the july deadline, but after getting wait listed for the last program i applied to, i'm getting more and more nervous. especially now that july is less than a week away, and also b/c they weren't completely clear on the deadline for acceptance letters to be sent out (originally first week of july, then possibly pushed back to mid july, i've heard both). is there anyone else in the same boat???

Has anyone from ABSN from san marcos received their info packet in the mail yet? The email said within 5 days of the email, but I haven't received it.

Has anyone applied for Financial Aid yet? Or plans on it? I went to their site and followed all the steps, but then it asks for my student id...which we don't have yet. I'm confused. Anyone else in the same boat??? :stone

I definitely have to apply for financial aid. I was going to wait until the orientation to find out more information about it.

Also...a note on the orientation...my acceptance email said it was Thursday August 7th, however the letter mailed to me said Tuesday, August 5th. I emailed Carol Landry and she said it will be held TUESDAY Aug 5th. Just wanted to clear up any confusion if your letters said the same.

My letter actually said the 5th, but it said 7:30 instead of 8. Did Carol happen to mention which time was correct??

the absn on campus orientation will be held on august 5th from 8-12. orientation will be on campus, in markstein hall, room 125.

Hi everyone,

I have applied to the Spring 2010 ABSN Cohort and I was wondering if you guys know when they will be notifying us on our application statuses. When I first submitted my application, the deadline was on July 5 and now they extended it to August (which probably means more people are applying, boo!) It doesn't really say on the website what happens after you submit everything in, and I'm waiting anxiously to hear from them! Any advice from your application experience? Thanks!

Hey there. As a new ABSN recruit for the Spring 2010 cohort at CSUSM, I am wondering if you have any words of wisdom to offer. Did you like the program in retrospect (?) and did you send your intent to enroll immediately or just before the deadline? Also, is it really not feasible to work during the program? Thx!

I just recieved an e-mail claiming my acceptance for Spring 2010 at the San Marcos site. That being said, you should be recieving yours anytime : )

Congrats! There are more selectees posting on another thread for the Spring 2010 ABSN. Just do a search on "San Marcos ABSN 09". It's a loooong thread.

I am thinking of applying to that program is anyone brave enough to post their science and TEAS final score per the point system ranking order. I would love to see what scores are getting accepted. Thanks.
