hi everyone,
i'm new to the site, and was wondering if anyone else may be waiting for their response from csu san marcos for the spring 09 absn cohort? i am patiently waiting the july deadline, but after getting wait listed for the last program i applied to, i'm getting more and more nervous. especially now that july is less than a week away, and also b/c they weren't completely clear on the deadline for acceptance letters to be sent out (originally first week of july, then possibly pushed back to mid july, i've heard both). is there anyone else in the same boat???
ick, i hate waiting. well, good luck to everyone! :heartbeat
You know what I actually I declined the offer because I wanted to try and get into the entry level masters program at Cal State Long Beach for the fall... If you don't get into San Marcos they will actually roll your application over for one year from the date you submitted your application. So now I am waiting to hear back from both of them. Hopefully I get accepted again! :) From the homepage it looks like the average is around 28 points and the program is so new that I don't think they are getting too many apps I think with 37 points we will both get accepted. I do know of 2 people in the program and they really like it.
I am disappointed that they only have a temecula cohort for fall. I think the major concern for the applicants, which keeps the average down, is the cost. Similar programs that are state subsidized and not through extension programs have much higher admissions averages but cost a third of the price.
When you turned it down did you get an option for deferment?

Hey guys I submitted my application Aug 1rst. I have about 37 points on their point scale. I am not sure how competitive that is but I am hoping it is good enough I was rejected from saddleback so I am really hoping this pans out I am not sure how much rejection I can take! My undergraduate GPA was 3.4 My teas 89%. My Pre-reqs 3.67
