Anyone apply to the CSU San Marcos ABSN Program?
I definitely have to apply for financial aid. I was going to wait until the orientation to find out more information about it. Also...a note on the orientation...my acceptance email said it was Thursday August 7th, however the letter mailed to me said Tuesday, August 5th. I emailed Carol Landry and she said it will be held TUESDAY Aug 5th. Just wanted to clear up any confusion if your letters said the same.

Micro Fall 2008
Hey NYC nursewannabe- I had Professor Morin-Neuhoff for micro lab, and Dr. Wool for lecture. Both teachers were pretty cool. I finished up all of my pre-reqs at BMCC and actually just moved to San Diego, CA to start RN school. I just found out that I was accepted to 2 programs here, so I'm excited. Good luck with micro and if you need any help lemme know. THe material is kind of dry, but if I could survive the class on sundays from 9 -4pm and work full time, and taking AP2 you can do it too. :) ps...you can also prob look up teacher reviews on rateyourprofessor.com. Some of the reviews aren't accurate, but it gives you an idea of what to expect.

Micro Fall 2008
Hey NYC nursewannabe- I took all of my pre-reqs at BMCC. I was really scared at first as well, b/c I took AP 2 and Microbio at the same time. I got all A's surprisingly. A lot of people warned me about it, and it definitely was tough, but if you got A's in your other pre-reqs, I think you will be fine. I had two different teachers for lab and lecture, and that made it hard b/c the lab teacher gave lecture tests as well. It was almost like having two different classes with the same material. The material is not as interesting as Anat. and Phys (to me anyway), but if you read the text and pay attention, you will be successful. As for the "writing intensive" part of it, it will be ok. I took that as well. They just give you essay questions on the test and have some short answer questions as well. This is unusual for a science class, but don't be intimidated. I found that it also helps a LOT to make the teacher aware of who you are at BMCC. Raise your hand, participate in class, email the teacher if you have questions. If they know that you are interested or concerned with your grade, and you care about the class, they will remember you and not think that you are just another number who doesn't want to be there. Good luck with everything!! :nuke:

Anyone apply to the CSU San Marcos ABSN Program?
Hi everyone! Congrats if you were accepted to the ABSN program. I also just received my acceptance email, for the Temecula cohort. Does anyone know how they choose which students go to San Marcos, and which students go to Temecula. I wonder if there is any way to change this. I'm worried about it b/c I live about an hour and 30min from Temecula! Also...does anyone know anything about National University? I'm trying to decide btwn the two schools.
