Just wondering if anyone has applied to Umass Boston and Umass Medical (in Worcester), Simmons and MGH for 2009 direct entry and BSN @ UMB? I am a little confused on what is taking them so so long to get back to me. My undergrad GPA is 3.2, got a 3.85 in all the prerequisites, decent GRE scores...I got in last year at UMass Medical, they called me a week before the program started (I guess I was wait listed), but I couldn't attend since not all my prerequisites were completed. I just called Umass Med. and they told me they already picked the 25 students and I wasn't one of them. It would be nice if they send a notice once in a while, but nothing. Anyone please heard anything, I'm desperate, I hope I got in at least one school, not picky at this point, just desperate
I live in Rockland (about 15 miles south of the city) and I got my acceptance today! I got a few emails before the actual mail arrived, so I had a good feeling opening up the letter =)
But one more thought on MGHIHP-my friend was waitlisted a few years ago for the Direct Entry program and then he did get in a month later!!! There is hope :) Good luck to you all.
Hi guys, one more WAIT LISTED here . Shall we just start our own Direct Entry Wait Listed program or what? Good luck, I hope we hear from them soon. I have 2 more schools to hear from, keeping my fingers crossed.
OK so do they just wait list everyone who they do not accept? Makes me nervous. They received over 400 applications for 80 spots...I have not heard of anyone ever being rejected! Trying to stay positive..
Then again, I'm sure every person who applies is qualified and deserves a spot on their wait list so it makes sense. However, other schools have given rejections notices..
I am still waiting for 2 schools too although it is my absolute dream to go to MGHIHP. I've wanted this for years. Good luck all!!!
Anyone heard anything from UMB? Simmons will make their decisions by April I heard.....oh the wait. Just a question for who got wait listed by MGH...when did you guys apply if you don't mind me asking? I myself didn't submit the application till end of December and apparently it wasn't complete till after the deadline (one of my references messed up ugh).
I'm on the waitlist and I submitted the online application and what not in early December and my references and transcripts and stuff were sent soon after that, so my application was completed mid-December (before the holidays).
