Just wondering if anyone has applied to Umass Boston and Umass Medical (in Worcester), Simmons and MGH for 2009 direct entry and BSN @ UMB? I am a little confused on what is taking them so so long to get back to me. My undergrad GPA is 3.2, got a 3.85 in all the prerequisites, decent GRE scores...I got in last year at UMass Medical, they called me a week before the program started (I guess I was wait listed), but I couldn't attend since not all my prerequisites were completed. I just called Umass Med. and they told me they already picked the 25 students and I wasn't one of them. It would be nice if they send a notice once in a while, but nothing. Anyone please heard anything, I'm desperate, I hope I got in at least one school, not picky at this point, just desperate
I'm afraid it does, not trying to be a buzz kill, but I don't have a good feeling about this at all :uhoh21: I am still waiting to hear from 2 more schools. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Oh and I don't get the mail till 4ish, our mail man is on monkey business all day, and by that I mean socializing with all the stay at home moms in my neighborhood :wink2:. Just a little stay at home mom gossip to cheer u up.
The mail came... no letter either way. And no email. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT YET ANOTHER DAY!
I'm still not QUITE giving up. Yes I'm not confident at all that I got accepted, but MAYBE we got waitlisted. That wouldn't be so bad!! I would be thrilled with that.
I was wait listed from Umass Med last year, and then weeks before the program started they called asking if I could start. I wasn't done taking the A&P II and making last minute arrangements with a toddler wasn't easy. So you never now :-)
Hi everyone, I got an email right around lunch time that I was accepted... and I just spoke to my sister-in-law and she said my letter is at the house too. I live in Peabody, so still not far outside of the Boston area.
Good luck to everyone waiting to hear! This is my first acceptance letter, I was already rejected from BC a few weeks ago. I'm still waiting on Simmons and Northeastern!
goBErun83 - glad to see there's another possible MGH-er on the North Shore! I'm from Salem :) I would say I'll PM you so we can chat, but neither one of us has those privileges yet. lol :chuckle
I also have received a letter from MGH in the mail and I've been waitlisted. I was waitlisted last year and I never heard from them. My GRE scores were pretty low so I retook them this year and did much better, but still waitlisted. Here's hoping to hear from Simmons soon!
