I applied to UF's Accelerated BSN program for Summer 2009. The application deadline passed 2 weeks ago, and I am anxiously awaiting a reply. I hate waiting! If anyone has been through the program, I was wondering if you remembered when you found out if you got in or not. Is anyone out there also waiting to find out if you got into the program?
Hi again Paco, I am not really sure what they would do if your master's program doesn't offer a gpa or standard grades, but it seems that yes they would just use your undergrad gpa. From my understanding they use the gpa from your last 60 credits of undergrad, and then look at your pre-req gpa separately. But to be honest, I am not totally sure about this. maybe send ken foote and e-mail to make sure
Hi Guys,
Has anyone paid the tuition yet?
I registered for the summer classes 3 days ago. I went ISIS today and click on the link for Financial Service. I just want to pay my summer tuition and forget about it. I should be able to pay by ISIS, but it didn't give me any information in fact it said that I owe "0" ???????????? I would be happy if it was true, but obviously it wasn't .
I just wonder has anyone paid it yet? You know, due date is May 22.
Our class schedule seems SO intense , only good thing is we get Wednesday morning and Friday afternoon free !!!

FYI, there is a fee associated with paying online via ISIS with a credit card. I recommend sending a check if you want to do it before you actually get on campus.
I received my acceptance to UF's Accelerated BSN around Mid-March.
Hoping to connect with people before we begin!

thanks fl student, marge444 and uf_ashley for your advice! i never really thought about submitting 3 references, especially when on the website it says you need 2. in addition to the volunteer sup and a&p prof, i think i will provide the non-healthcare job sup as well which i believe would provide more insight into my general work ethic and maturity.
i thought of another question in the meantime. i was going to email uf about this first but i figure i'd ask here in case someone else had the same issue:
i understand uf uses gpa as follows: "calculated on the most recent 60 credits taken toward the bachelor's degree or cumulative gpa of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on masters or doctoral degree." per their website. now, i have a graduate degree which did not use a traditional abcdf grading system nor did they calculate a gpa, so because of this i will have to assume for now that my "last 60-credits" bachelor's gpa will be used (which is @ 3.5). some time after completing my ba, i took 8 credits of chemistry and 4 credits of college algebra (got all a's) and this year will look to complete the 4 prereqs that uf requires (15 credits total for those). will these 27 credits be factored in to the calculation of the undergrad gpa as well even though i completed them after my ba was conferred?
thanks again for your help!
