Hi to all you super smart NP students :)
I was wondering if anyone has been accepted to UTA for their NP program (any of them). What was your applicant profile like - gpa, work history, etc?
This morning I called to check on my application and was told it's very unlikely that I would be accepted because my gpa is only 3.3 and that most people have to apply multiple times.
Thanks in advance

I was accepted for the fall semester, I declined, I have been a RN for almost 4yrs, gpa is average. I applied to uta twice.
Thanks for the info foxyhill - my chances aren't looking too good Do you know of any programs around dfw for family psych? UTA was the only one I found

I ALSO got DENIED from UTA. My last 60 hours cumulative GPA was 3.3 and I've been a RN for two years. I guess UTA NP program is TOUGH to get in. But I got accepted to TWU. THANK GOD!
I wish TWU had a psych NP program! They are much cheaper! Congrats!

james7, did you ever get into UTA? I'm awaiting (anxiously) for a reply to my application for Fall 2014.

They have the new Academic Partnership program for FNP that started in February. I got accepted for the 6/30 start date. The rules are 2.8 GPA and GRE or 3.0 GPA and no GRE. Next session starts in August. Supposedly no class size limit starting then.
I want to do PMHNP...Is that a partnership program? What is the partnership program? I'm waiting on Fall 2014...Deadline was June 15...

It looks like FNP is the only NP offered through the partnership right now. There's an MSN and an MSN-Education offered as well.
