Anyone accepted to UCF Daytona Campus in Jan. 2011?

Published

I'm wondering if there are any other students that have been accepted at UCF Daytona in January for the regular BSN program? I just got my acceptance email tonight! I am SO happy and excited!:D The other people I've talked to on here that were accepted are going to Cocoa. Just wondering if there is anyone else out there?!?:nurse:

I got accepted too! I'm from the Tampa/St. Pete area... but currently at UNF in Jacksonville.

Anyone looking for a roommate?!

I'm a 19 year old female

I don't smoke, and I would prefer a non-smoking roommate as well

I am an organized person usually, but I admit, I can be messy at times !

I'm pretty easygoing and laid-back

I spend A LOT of time studying, but I still like to have fun occasionally :-)

I'm very respectful and considerate of my dormmates/suitemates/roommates!!

email me @ [email protected]! :-)

I haven't paid for the background check program, but I did get the CPR and ATI testing e-mail from Maureen. The urine testing is the drug test they were saying we'd find out about at a later date, I'm guessing?

The urine and fingerprinting info comes with the online background check, you get emails sent to you after you sign up for it, and you have to set up an appointment online to do both. It's simple, just follow the links in the emails. Do you know if the ATI test package is for just the semester or the whole program?

Hi everyone!

I was also accepted into UCF Daytona this January! I am originally from Orlando and I will be moving to Daytona soon. I don't know anyone in Daytona but I look forward to meeting all of you! I was wondering if anyone was looking for a roommate?

I'm 23 years old and I got my AA at Valencia and I've been collecting a minor at UCF. I'm a clean roommate and I'd prefer that the person I live with to be clean also. I am a non-smoker and have no preference if my roommate smokes cigarettes as long as it's not indoors. I have a cat that I'd like to take with me but if that's a problem I could leave her at my mom's house. I currently live with three of my closest friends in a house very close to UCF. I am an open minded person who does like to have fun even though the majority of my time is spent studying. I'm interested in living with just one or more future nursing students. From my experience renting a house is cheaper and gives you more space than getting an apartment. If anyone is interested please let me know!

P.s.

My friend is hosting an art show Saturday October 9th at The Old Dunn Toy Building 166 S. Beach Street Daytona Beach, FL. I was thinking about going to meet people in Daytona if anyone is interested. It starts at 8pm and it has some really great artists showing off their work, a few bands playing, and a couple DJs. The event on facebook is Incompatible Browser | Facebook if your interested.

I'll have to see about my boyfriend's work schedule, as I'm currently his ride to work, but that looks like a ton of fun. And no, I don't know if the ATI testing is for the semester or for the whole program. :[

I'm getting really excited the more e-mails I get spammed to my inbox! How many of y'all are going to the CPR class before the Meet and Greet? It'd be great to have some others from our program there. And I BETTER see you girls at the M&G!!! :] I do wonder if they'll feed us or at least let us go have lunch haha

So does anyone know of nice apartments in the area? I've been looking online, but it's so hard to telll! I'll think one looks nice but then I read reviews and all the reviews are horrible.

From what I read online about the insurance through the school, you had to enroll by September... but if that's incorrect let me know because the school insurance seemed more decent than any other plan I could find.

Kay, where did you get info about the CPR class? My certification is up in March so I'll have to renew it and if I can do it while meeting everyone that would be great! I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do because I'm so far away still!

Me and another girl are getting an appartment at Integra Shores it's really nice and it's not in a scary part of town. Also, it's new so all of the appliancess and everything is new and really nice. There are also 6 cops who live on premises so it's really safe.

Yes, the ucf insurance was due in september =/

They sent out an email about the CPR class offered by the school.

Maureen sent out this e-mail:

"I have heard from quite a few of you asking about CPR certification. There will be a CPR course held on December 10, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Bldg. 140 Room 309 on the Daytona Campus. The cost is $21.00 and must be paid by check or money order. Please make payable to Public Safety. Please RSVP to me by December 1st if you plan on attending. If you have any other questions please let me know."

The Meet and Greet is the same day, right after the CPR class.

Ok thanks I'll check that one out! I never got that email, I actually haven't gotten an email from the school in awhile... I should probably look into that! I won't be moved down until Christmas though, so I won't be able to make that CPR class anyway. Thanks for the info =)

Hey All!! Seems like we are all counting down to Jan. 2011!! Congrats to US! Hope to meet everyone very soon. There is an event on Nov. 9th, and Dec. 10th for the CPR as well as the "Meet & Greet"! Make sure you all enjoy your time off while it lasts, because remember the next 18 months to be frank will be hell. LOL! Anyways, Hope to see you very soon! :o)
