Does anyone know of any applicants that were turned down for the CEP program through Maricopa? Everyone I know who has applied had gotten in with GPA's from 3.0-3.8. My GPA is a little behind a 3.5 and I am worried that competition is getting heavier, I see all these posts about 4.0's and 3.9's!. I have yet to hear of anyone rejected though. Just wondering if anyone has heard of any rejections or if the program is still too new...
It seems like you and I are in the same boat, Kendall AZ! Fingers crossed!
Oh yeah you are for sure good to go! I am so nervous, I just spoke to ****** today who is my nursing adviser and she said that they are calculating MAT120 or higher in the NAU gpa... MY ONLY "C"! I was so bummed, I thought that they didn't calculate that class with NAU, but I guess I was wrong. So my GPA is even lower now to a 3.3! My hesi is a 95 cumulative so I hope that gives me a little more room. I am going to try to go to NAU or ASU to widen my chances. Oh lord, I do not know what I will do if I don't get in! I qualified for scholarships and they are pretty much waiting on my to give them the go ahead to send the money to the school for spring. How embarrassing if I don't make it!

Yes we are! My GPA with nau once I got to the session calculated to a 3.4 but my GPA with asu calculated to a 3.25 because my poor chemistry grade. I JUST made the cut! phew! Hesi is 93 eng and 84 math. Your scores are great. I think we will be fine. Just nerve racking because this session seems like the first where people are getting rejections. There were over 400 applicants and only around 210 spots! Let us know on here if you hear back! Fingers crossed for everyone!
Are you applying for ASU??
NAU has a lot more slots since its the most popular. I know ASU has 60.
We should know sometime this week. It's so exciting and scary to think we could be starting nursing
School in the spring. Good luck and wish Everyone the best.

WOW there was really that many people who applied? I thought you could only apply if you went to an application session. I guess I don't know how many spots there were for that...? But wow! Now I'm really worried lol!
Haha, sorry didn't mean to overwhelm anyone. The advisor from gateway who was at the session told me that. She said there were 400 spots to register for an application session between May 28th and May 29th. So, that means that unless people didn't show up to the session that registered on the maricopa nursing site there about that many applicants compared to the 210 spots. I don't know if that many people actually put in thier app though.

I would think it's pretty close to that then! But ya I wasn't sure how many people were able to apply, since at the time I registered the number of remaining seats was already lower. Oh well I just want my answer!! lol

Not more slots the same as always. The meeting is where department heads choose the students for the program. It's standard at all schools.
