Anybody heard of Alda Staffing or Global Nursing Solutions?

Published

Hello Everyone,

My friend was given an offer from Alda Staffing and their Partner Global Nursing Solutions which is a staffing agency in the US is offering to sponsor my friend. She was given a contract to sign and based on the contract, their offer is quite alright.....

Guys, just wanna know if anybody heard of them and there is experiences in the US.... please share us whether positive or negative....

Your response would immensely help us in our decision....

Thanks a lot.........:redbeathe

There are no visas currently available so if nothing has been started as of yet, one is looking at about five years for the chance at a visa and if the agency is not in business then, the petitions get cancelled and the nurse starts all over again from scratch.

The way things are now, thoroughly check out the agency very well before signing anything is all that I would say.

And if it is one agency that is partnering with another; she is going to be sold to the highest bidder. Do not know about the current status of these agencies but anytime that several are involved, bad thing to do as if one goes under then everything can be cancelled.

last jan 2008 i was browsing in the internet and submitted my resume to atlas a uk based agency. then by feb., atlas referred me to their counterpart in the us which is global nursing solutions, inc. by mar., gns contacted me and asked for an interview then by mar. 17, they send me a contract. i was able to send to gns the contract in the middle of april. then by may 20 i received via the gns web a receipt noticed from uscis re my i-140 application. then first week of jan 2009 i received again a noticed from uscis approving my i-140 immigrant petitioned filed by gns and accordingly my papers is now with the national visa center...

to all those nurses out there who wants to go to the usa good luck. i did not know gns before. i just took the risk in signing a contract with them. i do have my nclex and visa screen thou, that is why, while waiting, i do volunteer works in specialized areas in the hospital, etc. to enhance my nursing skills...:wink2:

please post in english only

Blancogato, it seems you made the right decision preparing to take the risk and signing the papers. Did they ask you any sum of money for any reason in this process?

hi dabik, GNS did not ask for any single cents from me to process my papers. I believe that GNS contract/offer was clear, transparent and fair. I am just so lucky to have them as my agency because I can directly trace with USCIS the progress of my papers thru their website and do not have to worry for any processing fees:yeah:

Question:

How does Companies like GNS make their money?

Do they collect a Head Hunter fee or Placement Fee from the Hospitals when they provide an employee?

If so, How much does the Hospital pay?

Hi blancogato, it's been a month now that i have second thoughts of signing the contract that is already at hand. i'm still not at peace with singing with them. Any thoughts you had with GNS before signing up with them? Do you think the rate per hour is fair enough for us nurses? please i need clarifications. Another thing is that the facility is a nursing home. another thing to consider is the cancellation fee if ever this entire thing will take longer.

Just be aware that as Suzanne was saying there are no visas available now. May 2009 visa bulletin shows unavailabe visas for employment based 3rd category. It was March 1, 2003 in April visa bulletin. This is for both consular processing ( applicants still in their home country) and for adjustment applicants ( already in the US). It is very very slow. It's going one step forward, four steps backward. You are looking at 5 or more so years. In the meantime, get some more nursing experience. Good luck to all.

dear blancogato

just want to know the status of your application with global nursing solutions. I just received a contract from them and I really need more info/feedback before making my decision

hi blancogato,

i have several queries about your application, hope you can share some infos,,

im from philippines, currently scouting for an agency as i'm done too with all my examinations needed to work in us.

in your contract, does the agency specify the hospital where you will be working?if yes, what state and how many years?

since you were able to shoulder all the expenses for exams and visa screen,

did they mention about reimbursement or sort of any kind?

are you allowed to work in another country while waiting for your priority date?

thaaak you in advance, i'm sure those who are interested to know more about the agency will surely appreciate any infos about these queries.

again, thanks!!
