So many rumors about the "new" tests!

Those of you taking it after April 1 are not going to see a different format than before. It will be identical. The difficulty level is increased, true, but it's not a recognizable difference to the test-taker, from everything they've put out about this. It's a marginal change.

If you're taking it for the first time, you have nothing to compare to anyway. And I would imagine if you're taking it for the second, third, or more times, the test has been difficult in the first place. You aren't going to notice the incremental change.

i took mine yesterday! it stopped at 90 and im just freakin out! good luck to you! and to me! don't woory about the alternative formats... i only got select all that apply like 4 of em! just do your best and wait 4 yer results!!

good luck , u did ur best ull make it

i took it in april for the first time and passed. like the poster above said, it is not a recognizable difference. i had friends who took it before april and when we compared notes, it was pretty much the same...same format, same wanting to bang your head against the wall type of feeling.

that being said, go into your nclex feeling good that you have the ability to pass the test. do not underestimate the power of a good night's sleep and some breakfast. practice a lot of questions. it doesn't matter that it's april. what matters is you feel prepared and confident to sit down for the exam.

I heard 3 years ago that there was suppose to be some sentence completions, and fill in the blanks. the only thing I had to fill in was the math, but no completion questions. As far as I know, none of my classmates who took the NCLEX-PN had sentence completions either. As far as the testing format goes, I guess the best place to check would be your state board of nursing. Have faith in your ability, don't rush through the questions, and most of all don't panic (at least not until your done with the test;)) . You are in my prayers.

I just took the exam on Tuesday, April 17. As long as you've studied hard and did your best, you'll do well.

I on the other hand am waiting anxiously. My computer shut off at 210 questions... so odd. I got 3 calculation questions. Be prepared for alot of prioritizing and disaster scenario/triage questions. Best of luck to you!

Good luck coachivr , ull make it .
