Hello everyone!!
I'm looking for anyone who is in the UW Oshkosh Accelerated Nursing Program or will be in it in 2015 and is doing their clinicals in or around Salem or Portland, Oregon.
I´m excited to start preparing for my trek out there and would love any information on how to get started, find accommodation, etc. ANy advice would be lovely and very much appreciated! Thank you in advance!!

I am not in the program but I want to apply for May 2016. I would also have to move from Cali to Oregon for the program...I am just wondering, do they ask you when you apply where you would reside? Can you change your state or city after? I know, probably a dumb q:). But, I would say move to Eugene, I went to the UO and it is a great town with a lot of young students and you can definitely find roommates your own age to share the place with. They also have a great new hospital in Springfield, it is huge :)
You get to chose between two places when you apply and after that there are no changes. I initially asked to be placed in Portland but they had no working agreements with any hospitals there so the closest thing was Salem. You pretty much go where there is a place for you. I'd prefer Eugene or Portland but I'm just happy that they found placement for me. Good luck for May 2016!
Oh I see...So can you choose two different states or just two different locations in the same state? And thank you..I hope I get in, but if not I am looking at other ABSN programs as well. Have you applied anywhere else? Is this your first time applying?

The application asks for 2 locations. It can be any 2 places you want. If you are thinking a different state then I would just double check the program is allowed in that state.

I start in October :)
I'd really love to hear your thoughts on the program now that you are a couple months in. Anything you wish you knew when you were in my spot and a few months away from starting?
Any tips or tricks you would recommend? I'll take whatever I can get!
