  1. I guess if I haven't heard anything about an interview, that's probably a bad sign. An official no would be nice. Bummer.
  2. I applied to this program but haven't heard anything yet. Have you been offered an interview yet?
  3. You get to chose between two places when you apply and after that there are no changes. I initially asked to be placed in Portland but they had no working agreements with any hospitals there so the closest thing was Salem. You pretty much go where there is a place for you. I'd prefer Eugene or Portland but I'm just happy that they found placement for me. Good luck for May 2016!
  4. Hello everyone!! I'm looking for anyone who is in the UW Oshkosh Accelerated Nursing Program or will be in it in 2015 and is doing their clinicals in or around Salem or Portland, Oregon. I´m excited to start preparing for my trek out there and would love any information on how to get started, find accommodation, etc. ANy advice would be lovely and very much appreciated! Thank you in advance!!
  5. Thank you. So for the test I bought the ATI TEAS V study manual and I used my own science books to review the science portions. I don't think it is difficult if you are fresh out of school. My friends that did better than I did had a packet of 5 practice tests from McGraw Hill but I only used the practice exams in my study manual. The only stressful part of the exam is that it is timed.
  6. Aperhyl, I also had a really high GPA and a pretty good TEAS V score. By the time we start the program I will have been working as a CNA for a year. The only thing I did differently was the CNA experience and revamp my resumé. Good luck!
  7. Hi Everyone! SO I got news yesterday that I got in!! SO excited! Congrats Husicl..we don´t know each other yet but we´ll be cohorting together in May. To everyone that didn´t get in.. make an appointment with Sue. That is what I did after I didn´t get in the last cohort and she gave me good advice. And she also mentioned that they didn´t accept anyone without CNA experience so don´t feel bad..just get a CNA job and keep truckin´along and I´m sure you´ll get in the next cohort. Best of luck xo
  8. I know how you feel! Those emails make me so nervous. When I got the email to do a survey I think my heart stopped for a second. I definitely need to calm these nerves since we'll be waiting for at least another 6 weeks. Congrats to everyone for making it this far. Hopefully we will all have some good news to share with each other come December!
  9. I guess the phone interview wasn´t too bad. I have the online interview soon.
  10. I know! I am nervous too. I have my interview in 4 days (on the 14th.) Northwood, from what I researched as well it seems that they want you to understand what you are getting into. Makes sense. Again, good luck to everyone. I'll keep in touch as well
  11. I just got an email about setting up the phone interview. Eeeek! I'm so excited and nervous. Anyone have any idea what this interview is about?
  12. Hello to all! This is my first post. I actually just reapplied to UW Oshkosh for May 2015 after being denied for the October 2014 cohort due to lack of CNA experience. I had an appointment with the admissions counselor and she said that everything looked great but that they didn´t even consider anyone without CNA experience regardless of grades/scores. I went and found CNA work immediately but I´m still so nervous (crossing my fingers the second times a charm) Good luck to everyone!
