Any Trocaire College LPN students here or anyone from Buffalo, NY?

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Published

Hello, everyone! I am about to start my lpn courses on January 20th and am curious if there are any other students from Trocaire or the Buffalo area on here?

hi, i was thinking of going there. when will you be done in 1 year? i have two semesters at another college and just need the last half not sure if i should change or stay where i am

Hey, there! Yes, if all goes according to plan I will be done by May 2011. I have a BA already from another college, but my GPA wasn't good enough to go right to RN ( too much partying back in my youth, lol!) so I decided to go LPN first and then go thru Excelsior for my RN.

Have you taken any of bio, english, psych, sociology yet? Those are some of the prerequisites needed to start the program. I am taking anatomy & physiology I and fundamentals of practical nursing for my 1st semester.

done with all A&P, microbiology, medication math, psychol, sociology, everything except the nursing

Oh, ok! Well, I have to admit Trocaire is a bit pricey, so you may be better off where you are if you found a really affordable option. Where do you go currently?

Hi,

Did anyone take the DET exam for Trocaire's LPN program?

I was curious what the test was about. Is that the accuplacer placement exam or is it a totally different exam?

Thanks!:)

I am currently at Trocaire in the LPN program.

Hey, there! So, are you just starting out this semester? I am in my last semester and graduate in May ( FINALLY!) and can't wait! :clown:

I am in my first semester of nursing classes. I took all of my pre-req's last year. Right now I am taking PN 104, n PN 105 n Med Essentials...

It wouldnt let me private message you, so Im really hoping you see this! Hi, I graduated from Trocaire in December 2010 from the Medical Assistant program. I started at the college in FA 07...long story ended switching majors...and was very recently thinking about the LPN program at Trocaire. Can you please tell me how it is? Dr. Koprucki was my program director before also. Im trying to get a hold of her to try to figure stuff out. Can you please tell me maybe job duties, rate of pay per hour, jobs around here and what types of facilities? Also where do they send LPN students for clinicals? I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE THE INFO/HELP if you can. Thanks! I already have 6 classes done so I would need just the nursing ones.

I tried to private message you as well. I would prefer NOT to post what I have to say here. I can be reached at hydekim3960 at yah oo dot com.
