Hi, Wackyj,
I am starting the 2nd year of the LMRC ASN program in Sept. I am enjoying it; LOVED the first semester. Second semester is TOUGH, so be prepared. I am an older student (43) and am working full-time, so the LMRC evening/weekend program is great for me. I am meeting w/someone at Regis College tomorrow about the MSN program there; as you might know, LMRC's are automatic admissions to the Regis MSN program. Is there anything specific you want to know? I might be able to help.
It's not flawless, but I think it's a solid program.
Good luck.
Thanks brainyheart! I wanted to do the two year asn program the go onto my bachelors. Are you allowed to do your bachelors at the school? If not, i was going to go to Norrtheastern, because i applied there last year but didnt get into the nursing program,i only got in under health sciences. Thanks for your help. Im sending in my app. now because i want to try to get in the spring! hopefully my 3.5 from URI will help me out.
Hi again, wackyj,
No, you can only do the ASN at LMRC. But Regis has a fast-track RN to BS program (and on to the MSN if you want), and it's a direct shoot from LMRC. I think it's a good way to do it, but then again, I am much older than you! I've heard that the NU program is very good, too. It's a great idea to get your app into LMRC as soon as you can, and I wish you luck and speed in getting your answer. If there's anything else I can tell you, please don't hesitate to ask. And I'd love to hear what you finally decide if you want to share. Good Luck!

If you would like a perspective from the current NU 101 students @ LMRC you can take a look at the class's draft website @ http://webpages.charter.net/wmcyoung/LMRC/index.html

hi wackyj2000..i just graduated from lm/rc in may 2006. the school is very competitive to get into and very challenging during the 2 years of class and clinical. however, i took my boards july 5th and passed with no problems. they do have a program with regis college in weston if you decide to go on for your bachelors. regis gives you automatic admission and a discount on your tuition. let me know if you have any questions.
Hello Brainyheart.. im in semester nu101, and its going well..1st exam is coming up this wednesday, do you have any advice or helpful study guides to go by, i did my own but i was going to ask you also!
Thanks,
Jess

Brainyheart...question for you...I was accepted into the January Slot...evening weekend. During my interview, the counselor went over my schedule and i was so nervous that it kinda flew over my head. Can you give me an idea of what the weeks are like? Basically, am I in clinical Friday Sat and Sun every weekend?
Thanks!
B:)

Hi
I graduated from LMRC, they have a great program and the instructors help you to succeed. I attended the day session. My friend attended nights, and as of last year clinicals were held every other weekend. Friday night you would go in to the hospital research your patient. Sat & Sun were clinical days. I believe the hours were from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Good Luck
Thank you so much for your response! I really appreciate it! :loveya:

I just graduated this year as an LPN and I applied to LMRC this year. Unfortunately, I did not get in. I was told that the program was EXTREMELY competitive to get into. But I am thrilled that others have gotten in and have completed the program successfully. About how many students attended the day session with you?
