Hello...looking for something with draws that can be wall mounted in pt room OR some type of container with draws to place on a shelf outside of pt room to hold nursing supplies. Examples; flushes, oz tubing, 2x2 etc. What does your facility use? Thank you for your help.

saline flush ..Joint Commission
Hello...At your facility are you allowed to stock saline flushes in an unlocked storage container in a patients room? Does the Joint Commission view these as a med or a medical device? I went on the JC site but could not find any information. Food & Drug site ... saline was under medical device...so why can't they be stocked in a pts room? Thank you for any help that is offered

patients family photographing your badge?
Good Morning, Issues on the floor at work with a patients family member. Pt can be difficult at times as far as refusing vs assessments meds etc. Waiting for placement. Management has been involved, notes documented by nursing & doctors. Family member may have her own pscy issues, (called an MD inappropriate name, telling staff to get out of room, raises voice for no reason accuses staff of lying about care given) but is now photographing nursing badges of the nurses that are caring for her mother. Our last names are on our badges, this makes me uncomfortable. Is this legal? Although this has not occured when I have cared for her.....just trying to prepare myself in case. Has this happened where you work?

Any St. lawrence memorial/regis college.. nurses?
Hi I graduated from LMRC, they have a great program and the instructors help you to succeed. I attended the day session. My friend attended nights, and as of last year clinicals were held every other weekend. Friday night you would go in to the hospital research your patient. Sat & Sun were clinical days. I believe the hours were from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Good Luck

Saunders vs NCLEX 3500 which answer is correct?
Hi Thank you for replying so quickly. The Saunders question only stated to reposition a client every 2 hours and massage bony prominences. I was taught to do this with lotion, as long as skin was not broken down. NCLEX 3500 stated not to massage bony prominences but no ther details. I appreceiate the advice.

South NH eve/part time study?
Hi I live in southern NH and have been going to school at Lawrence Memorial/Regis College School of Nursing in Medford MA. The commute is about an hour for me. Excellent program and the teachers are wonderful. I am in the day program, but they do offer an evening program. The clinicals are every other weekend, and you attend class two evenings one week, the following week 3 evenings. I chose an ASN program so I can start working as soon as possible. When I graduate I can transfer in to their RN to MSN program at Regis College. No waiting list, no additional application fee etc. I can also choose to exit that program with a BSN. Regis offers online programs and offsite classes. Lawrence Memorial/Regis College is part of Hallmark Health. So if you work for them(Melrose Wakefield Hospital & Lawrence Memorial Hospital) every 6 months they pay half of a student loan. In four years my loans would be paid off. The school has several information sesions. Good Luck

About to take the TEAS Exam????????
Hello........I've been away for awhile, but glad to be back! I received my letter to take the TEAS Test (Test of Essential Academic Skills). Has anyone taken this exam? I'm wondering how much this test counts for when deciding who will be in the next nursing class? I purchased a study guide, but am curious if the test will be set up the same way. Any help would be greatly appreciated .........thank you

NH schools?
Hi..........I want to attend school for my RN. I have been working towards an Associates. I have almost completed my nonnursing classes (11 of them @ Northern Essex). Now I'm trying to apply to a program. Rivier requires you to take the NLN exam. I tried to take it this fall but the exam was full. They will be offering it again in May or so I was told. I am looking in to Northern Essex, there will be an information session this month. Call them maybe you can attend and have your questions answered.
