Hi everyone! I am a prenursing student who has an assignment. This assignment is to interview a registered nurse or a nursing student. I am doing both, but nobody has answered the registered nurse one. Can a nursing student please help me out? it would really help me out and eventually will help me with my nursing career too. so if any nursing student is willing to help me out please do so. I would really appreciate it. If you do decide to answer, can you please just state your first name (or you can make one up :)). Here are the questions and thanks again.

1.Where will you obtain your degree and why did you choose this program?
2.What is your definition of nursing?
3.How would you describe your role as a student nurse?
4.how do you serve as a patient advocate, including the cultural needs of clients and families?
5.Describe a typical day for you as a student nurse. Include your duties, types of patients, and challenges.
6. name a specific situation in your role as a student nurse that has been rewarding and tell us why?
Thanks so much to whom ever answers the questions.

Keiser University, because of the class size, and the speedy course and acreditations
Nursing = compassion, advocate, care, support, leadership, self gratification.
my role as a student would be to explore, gather, research and practice in order to be the best nurse that I can at all times, humbleness, dedication, hard work and fun are the keys for it! As a student we are nothing but little seeds that will grow into whatever we make of it, it could be pretty and it could be a parasite, the choices we make as a student today will reflect in the nurses we will become tomorrow! Learn what to do, and what not to do.
that is just individualized care based on needs, although we treat all in a holistic way involving everything we can in order to pursue the best outcome for each situation
again another broad question, regular day:
wake up at 5am, take my dog out, shower, get to school, drink mountain dew, get to class, pay attention, learn a lot, take a break, and back to class, finish it up at around 2pm, go to the library, print out anything that i need for the next day, take some tests, read some more. go to work at 3pm, try to study when I can at work and then go home, get home at 1 am just to repeat it again the next day.
clinical day:
wake up at 5 am, shower and leave by 530am so i can get to the hospital by 6.30 am, go up to the floor get report on all my patients, go to the rooms, assess them all, document, and check med times, give my 730am insulins, and 8 am meds, chart everything, get on learning more about my patients, assist with breakfast/bed making/baths... and just take it what the day brings, always looking to the bright side of things... then 7pm post conference, home and BED!!!
The unit I worked received a few thank you cards with my name, and really nice compliments, some said that they wish the hospital would more patients like me! I felt really good about it!!! (sigh* pet in my back)
Thanks so much to whom ever answers the questions. yup! anytime!
thank you very much!! you just made my day. Know i'm definetly going to get a good grade thanks to you. thank you thank you.
